The morning was just very simply nondescript. Just the type of day where nothing new happened, a million people daydreamed through their typical actions, thoughts, and jobs. Ian planned on being just another one of those people, facing a nondescript moment in an unexceptional day in an equally bland life. The goings ons of the world around him could blend into the background, to make pleasant elevator music in the back of his head, so that he could ignore it all. The cars continued to zip along the freeway, and although he drove safely, he only paid attention with half his mind. The action of maneuvering his car through the morning traffic was automatic to him, so he could loosely focus the rest of his brain on geting into his empty zone of normal life. He gave a perfunctory glance in the rear-view mirror, and looked to his side mirror, preparing to change lanes, just for the sake of doing something other than going perfectly straight. His eyes froze on the side mirror, and went back to the rear-view mirror. Something stirred among the random blankets he kept on his back seat. He knew he didn't have any windows opes, and besides, it looked far to big to be loose ends of whatever fluttering in any wind. Whatever it was, it was golden, and glittering, and it sat on top of something big and gray, with several white buttons in a row. Ian shook his head and looked again as whatever it was stretched, sat up, yawned, and tossed her brilliant red hair behind her glittering golden-white wing.
"Holy SH--!" Were his last words as the angel opened her bright golden-green eyes and stared at him, half in surprise, half in wonder. The world went black as he swerved into another car and the world went black as he spun out of control, striking the side window splittingly with his skull.
