- so i was out on my back porch looking for a popsicle because we have another refrigerator outside. (the one inside is too small to hold everything, so we stash frozen meats and stuff in the one outside. we don't have room for it inside, either.) my brother was outside with me, too, getting a soda. he stopped and looked at something, then pointed it out to me. it looked furry, but it was actually skeletal or something, and it was pretty big. that said, it could have just been a different type of cicada. = w=~ mom said it was some sort of japanese bug, though, and i believe her. my brother joked about it being a higurashi but i'm like "pffft."
then i watched the opening of higurashi matsuri and thought differently. e we the burning higurashi looked pretty much exactly like the bug on my porch, except the bug on my porch didn't have wings.
...i hope it was a higurashi. ; w;
