Alright, so Clark, my high school, had a blood drive today. Being the borderline heroic, completely lazy child that I am, I decided to give some of my blood. I mean, c'mon you get to miss class (I missed nearly two full classes of a three class day heart ). So my Superhero buddy Siul and I march our slothful asses to the Aux Gym and the blood drive. Siul forges his parent's permission slip to give blood (his mom lives in St. Croix...Virgin Islands.) right in front of everyone! So, begins stage one of the leeching.
Alright, so first we're called back to check the iron of our blood (with a vicious p***k of the finger...oh and I am super ironated. xd ), our pulse, blood pressure, and to answer questions. The questions were G-R-E-A-T. They ask things like, "Do you have THE SARS?!" Have you ever slept with anyone with the SARS!? rofl Have you ever slept with someone for drugs or alcohol? Are you donating blood to be teasted for AIDS? Do you have cyphillis? Can I see your arms (presumably to see if you use the heroin xd )?
Fun stuff, so the real fun begins after this. Since I'm over 130lbs (Hey, I'm 5'8 give me some credit.) they decided I should do a DOUBLE donation. The take out twice as much blood, but they pump you full of COLD (hot damn I was so cold. surprised ) Saline to bring your blood pressure back up. So, you actually feel better after a double because of the Saline stuff. The needle didn't really hurt going in or coming out, and I learned from watching Siul. He watched them put the needle in and pull it out! I just turned away and barely felt it. 3nodding I got to squeeze a foam ducky to keep up the blood flow. Yay ducky man. heart The needle just felt weird the whole time it was in, but not painful. WEIRD! pirate I got the red tape to hold on my guaze bandaid and looked bitchin' all day. xp
After there was krispy cream, juice, peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, oreos, and Grandma's cookies. The oreos were in packages of two cookies each, so Siul snatched like ten packs! xd
