Hah, I feel smart. Here's the story:
Okay, so a few months ago, a big storm hit and the lightening struck and fried my modem and my mom's comp wouldn't work. I could hear what sounded like the HD's spinning, but it didn't boot fully. I told my mom to let me open it up, she wouldn't let me. Ok, so she took it to Best Buy to get it looked at. $40 and 10 mins later, the guy tells her that the motherboard is blown.
I keep telling her that I can fix it, but she tells me I don't know what I'm doing, dispite the fact that I've replaced almost everything in my comp from the modem to graphics cards. I finally get her to agree. My hunch was correct: The modem fried and shorted the MB. I took out the modem and it works fine...and had she listened to me, she coulda saved $40.
My mother refuses to believe I actually know more than her about some things. rolleyes
Ugh...parents sometimes...
Anyway, as most of my friends know, I live with my great aunt now. My grandmother's sister o.O ..Well, she's funny...like, she has whiskey and stuff in the house. It's weird seeing a 54yr old woman who's almost like a grandmother...drinking liquor. Anyway, so when she was getting some whiskey (and pepsi...whiskey and pepsi o.O), I saw this weird brown bottle. Here's what ensued.
Me: "What's that?"
Her "That's... <says some name I don't remember>, it goes good with ice cream or such...still not as good as <some other name I don't remember> ....it's better than sex!"
...better than sex...? Ew! I mean, this is coming from my grandmother's SISTER! YUCK! gonk gonk
She does that all the time, just to see me react. She's creepy gonk
