Possesed
~Only one of the multiple tales of Lake Lenore~
Amber was new to this swimming thing, “Your, like, 13 years old and you’ve never gone swimming?!” Her friend Millie squealed in excitement. Millie was always cheery and the only time she gets serious is if something is really bothering her. She was 14 years old in 8th grade and had long beautiful straight blonde hair. She always brushes her hair 100 times before she goes to bed! Her eyes are a bottomless sapphire that you could lose yourself staring into them. “Yeah, yeah! Keep it down! I told you, I used to live in the country and out there, no one had pools!” Amber was a very considerate girl she always appreciated her parents and elders, although she never got the finest of grades, she did get straight B’s. she had lengthy jet-black hair that always shined. Her eyes were a delicate hazel and her skin is oh-so soft. “WOW!” Millie now had a knack for getting thunderous. “SHHH!” amber briskly said. Or was it amber? Who knows, after all they were getting changed in the public stalls of Lake Lenore.
After they were both ready, they stepped out of the filthy crappy stalls and out into Lake Lenore’s fresh air. Amber gazed in amazement at the lake’s vast waters. “ you can swim though, right?” Millie asked. “Yeah, I used to go mini-swimming at the creek near my house. So I at least know how to swim.” Amber replied. “ok then! Here we come Lake Lenore!” Millie called out as she dashed towards the eerie waters of the lake. She took an amazing dive into the water and gracefully emerged from the waters surface. “wow, Millie, I never knew you were that good!” amber called out. “Thanks!” Millie yelled, “Come on why don’t you give it a try?” Amber hesitated, then ran out and timidly took a dive. She was very clumsy but ok. “great job for a beginner!” Millie called out to Amber. “heh-heh… Thanks!” she shyly replied.
Then a few minutes later Amber stopped dead with what she was doing. “huh? What’s wrong?” asked Millie. Then she noticed that Amber’s eye’s were pure black. “She is calling me…” she said without tone. ”H-hey, Amber, what’s up…” Millie called in a freighted voice. Millie didn’t know that this would only be a warning to something very terrible. Amber exhaled all her breath and started to sink. “No! Amber what are you doing?!” Millie was frantic. She reached out as quickly as she could and grabbed Amber by the shoulder. “Amber! Amber!” she said loudly as she shook her in hopes to bring her back to the world of waking. “ah! Huh? Wha? Stop shaking me!” Amber had apparently awoken. “ohmigosh…please don’t ever scare me like that again!” Millie cried.
A few weeks later they decide to go to the lake again. “please promise not to ever scare me like you did last time. If you do I swear I will kill you!” Millie pauses and reflects yet again on the cold chill ambers eyes gave her. ”yeah, ok I wont come on slowpoke!” amber broke Millie’s thought. “huh, oh, yeah!” Millie followed as Amber lead to the Lake’s deadly waters. Millie jumped in first expecting for amber to follow but Amber was on the deck calling to her, ” Great as always! Hang on I need to go get my new goggles!” she then dashed up to the upper half of the deck and Millie swam around a bit. Then a few minutes later, Amber rushed to the side of the deck in an unusually fast way. Millie glanced and then got a very bad gripping feeling I her stomach, “ No! Amber Don’t!” she called a s she frantically flailed to the deck’s lower half, “you’ll die!” Amber didn’t seem to notice, and Millie automatically knew that she had yet again been possessed. Millie reaches for the deck in hopes to save her friend from herself, but something grabbed her ankle. ”EEK! A hand?!” she screeched. She quickly dives into the water to see what it is , and it only turns out to be seaweed. But it stalled Millie long enough that Amber descended into the Lake’s dreaded waters.
Millie saw Amber’s body engulfed in a cover of bubbles. “No! Amber, Noooo!” Millie tried to call out, but lost her air and had to rush to the surface. Then she plunges herself into the dreadful waters in a frantic attempt to save her friend. But when she opens her eyes she sees her friend being restrained form floating to the surface by an unusual figure. Millie dives deeper to get a better look…and it’s a lady! The lady was wearing a gorgeous dress and she, herself was beautiful. Millie was very cautious to approach but she still pushes herself towards the lady and Amber. Millie noticed that the lady was crying although she looked pretty mad. Suddenly, Amber gained consciousness and started flailing about trying to get the lady away. This shook Millie from her thoughts and she plunged onward to help her friend. But suddenly Millie gets stuck in some seaweed! Amber and Millie both urgently need air but they couldn’t break free! The lady pressed on and gripped tighter. Millie was starting to pass out, and the last thing she saw was Amber go limp and the lady releasing her, the lady turned, moved away, and then vanished. Millie then used her last bit of strength to try and break free, but only got herself more caught.
That is the tale of 2 teenage girls, Amber and Millie, that went missing (presumed dead) and was only two mere names on the list that goes on and on without conclusion, of Lenore’s murders.
