T-Kun's 'fficial Instructions (Now With Ramble)
Basically, anything on my mind. Summaries of my day, rants, rambles, thoughts. I've always got something on my mind. Also, I am required by law to inform you that there are Zombies lurking. Have a nice day.
Unfair, Just Plain ********.
Let me explain how my day has gone so far.

Today is a B Day at school. I only have my 4th and 5th period classes, then I get to go home since I don't have a 6th and 7th. 4th is government. 5th is ceramics.

I walk into government tired as every other day, take my seat, do the warm-up. ms. shapiro hands out a study guide for Wednesday's test, and I look at it. She says we're allowed to work with a partner, so I go over to Keene.

She walks by, telling Keene to get out his homework. "Which is on my hard drive on my laptop at home." he says.

Here's where everything goes wrong.

shapiro says we're not allowed to type the HW. She never told us that before. she also says that our papers were identical, word for word, and that we both got zeros on the chapter three and four HWs.

Now, let's clear some things up. The ch.3&4 HWs...we had to do five sections, each with seven questions. Some of these questions were broken into parts. It was a very, very long assignment, right? And handwriting takes an absurdly large amount of time. So it was types.

Here's the other thing: Keene and I do our gov HW together. It's the only way either of us will get it done. So, he comes over, he's on his laptop, I'm on my comp. We read the questions out of our textbooks, and help each other search for the answers. This is how we do the HW.

Our papers were not identical. They were not word for word copies of each other. Besides, the questions don't leave room for opinion; they're all solid fact that we have to search for in each section. EVERYONE IN THE CLASS IS GOING TO HAVE THE SAME BASIC ANSWER, JUST WORDED DIFFERENTLY.

so, she walks off, leaving Keene and I feeling down.

A while later, Keene says "I'm going to test her sense of humor." I get a bad feeling in my gut. He raises his hand and shapiro comes over. "Can I type it in a font that LOOKS like handwriting?" He says, smiling. It's obviously a joke.

Anotehr turn for the worst.

shapiro bitches us out in front of the entire class. She says she could have showed our HW to administration and gotten us in a lot more trouble than a couple of zeros.

She also said at a later point that if we had sat next to each other and copied the entire thing word for word BY HAND, it would have been FINE.

Let me ask you something. Does this seem fair?

In my opinion, it is not. WE told her we do our HW together. I tried to tell her that the questions will receive the same basic answer from everybody. Nothing. She wouldn't ******** listen.

Also, the way she said they were identical (which, again, they were NOT) means she thinks one of us is being lazy and having the other one do all the work for them. Now, she knows that Keene is obviously more into government and politics than I am. So, what is the insinuation?

That I am a lazy delinquent who copies her friend's work.

Now, this is only the beginning of my day. Allow me to tell you the rest.

I have a D- in ceramics. Yes. A D-. Let me explain. At the beginning of the year, we do these basic art assignments about line, shape, and value. I've already done them since I've taken art before, so ms. herrera gives me an alternate line assignment to do.

The day she hands everyone's back, mine is not in the pile. I talk to her about it. She has misplaced it. I find it lying on her desk. she takes it and says she'd grade it and input the grade.

Now, last Friday in advisory, the teachers were showing us our grades. I had a C in gov't. Not surprising; social studies was always my weak point. But a D- in ceramics? I figured ms. herrera has simply misplaced my assignment again, or forgotten to enter the grade. A 100 point assignment not counted? Ouch. Unless I did a HORRENDOUS job, there's no other way for my grade to be so bad.

10:00 AM, in the ceramics room. I'm still bummed about gov't. ms. herrera is talking about the line, shape and value sheets. Value is due next class. she goes back around handing back shape.

when she comes to me, she stops. She tells me i am not to do the assignments if I'd already done them before. I told her calmly that she had given me an alternate assignment, which I had turned in. It was then that I decided to ask her about my line piece. As soon as I mention it, I fall into another hole.

she tells me exactly this: "it did not look like two weeks worth of work and it's not worth putting in the gradebook."

So, I've spent a good deal of today crying. This is my day. Unfair in gov't, and Just Plain ******** in ceramics.

Isn't senior year supposed to be fun?

Aw. I'm sorry your day was such crap. If I were there I'd have a few things to say myself. -hiss-
No, senior year isn't fun. Whoever told you that is either on drugs, going to drop out of school, has already dropped out of school, or is failing everything and they don't care. (Granted, I'm sure there are those who aren't in any of those categories, but your senior year is the one that's supposed to prep you for college. It's not meant to be fun at all.)
Anyway, I got my phone until December, so if you still want to call me, go ahead. You're still on my 'faves' list or whatever, so it's free to call whenever you feel like you want someone to talk to.

WTF?!!

I didn't have to take a Government class in Senior year, But with the way the teacher reacted to you, I would have at least complained to someone. Well, Honestly, I would have talked it over with one my parents (grandparentss in my case) and get them to complain over the phone or in person with this teacher or someone over her.

You explained to her that You do your homework together, nothing seemed wrong on your part. Anyone in the class room could have done the same! Handwritten or typed, it just isn't fair! One thing, is that, she "thought" you were lying about how you did your homework. It's so easy to copy and paste, so she probably thought, you know, you're lying, thinking that you two had an unfair advantage. I think you should complain, about the Government teacher AND the ceramics teacher.

YOU turned "IN" WORK. She doesn't have the right to say, it wasn't good enough to put in her da** gradebook. You DID the work, she GAVE you an exception. She could have just let you redo the assignments instead of assigning you different work that she ends up dubbing "trash". It is HER fault. She MISPLACED it. If that was the case, she could have told you to REDO it. It is a mistake on her part, so don't feel too bad about it.

Like I said, I would talk with the higher ups and get my parents in on it too. If you Feel that confident, I say go for it. Don't Just settle for Crappy grades if you know they could be better without the opinion of a dumbass teacher.

Oh, and about typing up your homework. That makes no fuc*ing sense. I, ALWAYS turned in typed homework, even if I did work with someone to do my work. She never mentioned it before, so she can't just lash out a rule after you have already done it.

Even if your grades improve one letter or two letter grades by complaining, it's worth it! and that way, things can be settled and you'll know what the teacher expects! That way, She can't, as she did today, lash out some new rule she pulled out of her a**.

That is my input for that...sorry if If it seem rude or stupid in anyway possible.

Senior Year is just full of surprises. Only you can make it "fun", excluding events your classmates put out or the school. I had fun breaking a few minor rules and going to clubs afterschool, hanging out with my friends, making end jokes at the end of projects, all sorts of things. I even stepped out of my box a couple of times. It really depends on you and how you want your senior year to turn out. I hope you take my advice as just a hint, or a start. Make your senior year fun, do what you need to pass, and enjoy yourself in everything else, or just do something you enjoy.

I remember, at the end of one of my math projects, I made one slide with a bunch of full metal alchemist avatars saying little stuff, and after everyone read it, I put "and I bet you read it all" with a person sticking their tongue out XD;;

Like I said, only you can make your senior year fun, you and your friends, make the best of it, and leave the dumbass teachers where hey need to be while your enjoying yourself, that is, after you've done what they may have requested, or their homework. It's up to you.
