Heartbreak
Broken hearts and broken dreams,
Nothing now is what it seems.
My world has darkened and turned to black,
Sadness is the one thing I don't lack.
People told me it wouldn't work,
I didn't listen and look like a dork.
From all my ignorance what did I gain?
A broken heart and a greater pain.
I loved him but I ruined it on my own,
But it's all my fault I should have known,
That nothing lasts forever you see,
Especially not someone as great as he.
