Mah Jernul :3 <3
The voices told me to.
Ugh. |:< StupidBrain.
The scraping of three pairs of shoes were the only sound as I walked between Molly and Jake. The clouds had begun to block out the bright sky as it got later. A single drop of rain came down on the tip of my nose, hanging there before sliding down across my lips to my chin. I wiped it off and pulled the hood of my sweater up. Jake shivered.
"Ready to go home?" Molly chimed. She hated the rain; or really, the outdoors. She was a germ-a-phobe. She'd always had an excuse to stay indoors on the weekends, but we'd made her go to the movies today - that was just because Jake paid for the tickets.
"N-Nope!" Jake replied in his rough voice, following up a sneeze with a loud laugh. I looked at Molly. Her giddy expression made me smile. I'd been the only one that didn't really change during the break. Jake - with his bulging muscles - had matured noticeably. His voice was different. When he'd called me the day before school. I had had no idea who it was. And Molly had gotten more mature, almost a bit less afraid of the outside world - though she still didn't mind keeping to herself on the weekends.
Then there was me.
I looked myself over in the window of a building we were passing by. Molly and Jake came to stand beside me. They were even taller than me! I turned and stared up at them. Rain droplets clung to Jake's messy brown hair. I fought back the smile when his short cut reminded me of when he'd tried to grow it out. It looked like he'd wrapped a dead animal around his head when he arrived in school - okay, I'm exaggerating, but it was bad. Molly had pulled her hood up long before me, but I knew that under the blue fabric was her bright blond cut, not a single hair out of place. I stayed at her house a lot, but by the time I'd gotten up, she was dressed and ready. It always brought up two questions in the morning - 1. Did she really get up that early? and 2. Where was I last night?
Oh, maybe I'd forgotten to mention my problem? Or my name?
I'm Rina Silvermen. People call me Spam. But hey, at least it's better than Spaz. I'm sixteen years old, and I have amnesia - but only at night. It's like being at a club one evening, drinking down your losses for the day, and then you pass out. Sometimes you'll wake up in an alley, sometimes you'll wake up in a stranger's bed. I can't remember anything. Oh well.
That's why I have Molly and Jake with me this late. We never knew when it would happen.
"Sweet memories?" Jake grinned. I punched him in the shoulder. He laughed, and Molly chimed in. It sounded so.. wrong. Not bad, wrong. Too perfect. My train of thought was interrupted as silence broke their laughter. Both of them stared at me like I was the one laughing like a maniac. I just looked at them.
"Is she.. already gone?.." Molly asked. She sounded a bit fearful.
My voice sounded so small. "What?"
Jake ignored me and replied, "I don't know. can't see the sun through these damned clouds."
"We might need to carry her. She'll freak out if she wakes up somewhere else..." Molly said quietly. Neither of them really looked at me anymore. I was speechless as I heard their voices. They both sounded so musical. Perfect tune.
I spoke when my voice came back. "Woah, woah. First of all, I know exactly where I am." Their heads snapped towards me and I jumped. The movement was so quick it scared me. They hesitated. Then Molly's hand flew to her chest. "Oh! You scared me, Spam! I thought we lost ya' for a second." I scared YOU?
"C'mon, we need to get you home." Jake smiled at me. They both seemed to move in slow motion as we continued to walk down the street. The rain stopped, the individual drops easy to point out and touch. I reached out, but my arms wouldn't move. I stepped forward, but my legs wouldn't budge. I screamed, but my mouth wouldn't open.
"There we go."
"I told you~"
Their voices faded out as I did. My brain stopped working as my mind went blank and my body went numb.
But I could tell I was falling. And that the arms that caught me were as hard as stone. It would have hurt.. if I could feel.
But it was fine.

This was just another night for me.
