Game Preview: Big George will make his unofficial debut tonight as a Canadien against the Wild. We may have a perfect home record in the preseason if Montreal wins. Hamrlik will be out as well as Andrei Markov and Francis Bouillon. As for the front line, Tanguay got injured against Boston, on Wednesday. When this end, on Friday, the Montreal Canadiens will start the season.
Final: Montreal losses 3-0 to a solid Backstrom. Montreal did create many chances, but it would seem as though Minnessota's goaltender was everywhere between the pipes. Worse Part is that the game winning goal was scored earlie in the first period. Anyways, the preseason is over for the Montreal Canadiens. They end up having a 5-1 home record.
BTW, some of the injured players i mentionned did play.
