Chapter 3
I looked at my watch and noticed it was half-past midnight and figured to call it in for the night. I walked down the dead street, the silence was almost maddening. The only sound i had to keep me from going to the looney bin was the clunk-clunk of my boots striking the concrete sidewalks. The night was dark for the dark clouds that polluted the sky blocked the stars and moon causing the lights from the street lamps to create small cones of light that showed only what was within the cone of dulling light. Every now and then, one of the lights would flicker for a bit creating a short strobe effect. As i passed under one, I stopped to light a cig. As I got the ciggerette lit the street lamp started to flicker before going out all together leaving me in the dark with only the orange ember from my ciggerette to keep me company.
As the street lamp came back, a figure in a light brown trench coat and large, black fedora. I just stared at him, and he looked as if he were doing the same. Couldn't really see what they looked liked seeing how the light wasn't good enough to get a good enough look at him. I called out to him and asked his name, but he just stood there, not moving. The funniest thing happened next, the light went out again and when it came back the figure was gone. All he left behind was a message written on the ground, "The summoning is almost complete" it read. From what I noticed, it looked as if it were written in blood...
(3rd chapter of the series... yes, i'm takin' my jolly time with these... just something to keep me from going insane from never releasing my creative juices and to have a little fun.)
