I think maybe we need to have days of not being able to connect to the site for days at a time again. Days where it is common place to not be able to go two clicks without a real, giant, oppressive, database flaming death.
Because dude. The threads started at roughly 7:20 or so this morning regarding the economy being down and it was resolved by 8:22. People can't see their inventories or trade for an hour and they lose their s**t and quite literally piss themselves with fear.
I mean what a week ago the PMs were not working properly for an hour or so and now the 65,3355 or whatever glitch is back and people are PMing me regarding having been "hacked." Wait what? Why is that where everyone goes mentally when something breaks? Seriously.

In all serious though, I agree that the Site should be inaccessible for a couple of days every few months. Not so the Staff can fix everything, because as everyone should know, so things need to be on live servers to fix, but just to let Users take a forced break from the Site. You're going to complain about X being broke, then stay off Gaia until it's fixed, simple as that.
