Everyone got hit hard during Hurricane Ike here in Houston and neighboring counties, but thanks to a rental company to people that work for them and the peoples families got to have a genator, light tower, and whatever could be use as a genator to power to peoples homes that still had homes. They have also sent the mobile trailers for the people that work for them that have lost their homes due to Ike. The rental company also payed a contractor to fix everyones power that needed it fix, but they did not show up. They came from LA. I find it funny because they rented stuff from the rental company and had payed the rental company by credit card, so we don't understand why they took the money and ran without doing anything. Kind of stupid if you ask me, but back to my story. We where without up until the second to the last Friday in October and the rental company let us have the light tower and gave us free desiel to power it the whole time we had it. They say it's company policy that their people get the genators, light towers, and so on that can light up a house before renting them. I love that policy and I love the rental company. If it wasn't for them we would have probably had to stay at a motel the whole time, which would have drove me nuts because I wouldn't have been able to cook. Lucky we had a grill and an eletic skillet to use. Thanks to the rental company, the weather men at My Fox Houston, Ike for bring the best in people out, Center Point, and for those unsong heros that came from different states to help get our power back on.
