Basically what the title says.
On my way back from Alicia's I saw this old couple walking and while they were walking the women kept turning back and smiling so i look and i see no one, looking down lower i see a small hoping figure. At first i thought it was a rabbit (with all the hoping and junk) but as i got closer (saying hi to the old man and his wife) I saw it was a kitten!! Black and cinnamon spotted with a bald spot on her left thigh.
Must be a pretty obediant little thing to not have a leash. . . and no collar? I thought.
But the truth was it wasn't even their kitten!! Cause right when a car passed bar the kitten ran away and the couple kept walking not even slowing down for her to catch up. Like lots of other people I am an animal lover so i thought, hey mom and dad are gone i might as well just bring it home for a little play time and food So off I went the rest of the way home with Kitty in my arms (which took about 5 minutes since every car that passed by she jumped and ran off to hide)
Once i got home i showed her to Long (brother) and Hannah (sister and law). I got a brief stern stare from long since he was on the phone and a look of shock and a shaking head from Hannah. Guess thats a no for her to come in . . . oh well out here is fine Then within the next few hours I played and fed her pre-chewed. . .well i guess you could call it asian spam (there are no preservidives and its not processed so she wont get sick. Most animals in Vietnam are fed any way so basically its ment for animals and people) All went well even when my parents got home.
Surprisingly my mother did not flip when she saw it outside (think its cause lots of dogs and cats end up in our backyard) She ALSO wanted me to bring her in, and Quyen (sister) was the objective one, saying she was dirty and what not. But in the end Henry and Jennifer just petted Kitty from the door way and we ended up staying outside.
Unfortunatley, no matter how much I loved Kitty and would have wanted her to stay I knew I wouldn't be able to keep her.
After telling her that no matter where she went she would atleast visit me I said my good bye, crying my way back inside and into my room. I didnt even want to go downstairs to eat knowing well that she would be near the back door meowing for someone to let her in.Why did i bring her home in the first play? Why? I knew I couldnt keep her!! GAWD IM SUCH AN IDIOT!! were the words screaming in my head as i sobbed into my pillow.
One of the worst days of my life. . .
P.S the 3 pebbles thing is from the book Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli which i finished on the same day. The more pebbles you have in your wagon the happier you are. So the thought of me having one right now made me think that I would have about 3 pebbles or less right now. .
