Well so far the biggest news in the nba so far has been Detroit getting A.I and nuggets getting Billups.Theres has been diffrent opinions about who has gotten the better side of the trade and with me if Allen Iverson can play better defense Pistons got the better side of the deal and just wait to 2010! they are one of those teams who could get Lebron James or even Dwade,Melo,Chris Bosh, and many all-stars.When you think abiut it detroit could have D-WADE right now if they were to draft him in the 03 draft.Yesterday Billups and A.I had debuts.
Lets start with A.I his pistons were facing the nets Iverson led Detroit with 24 points, but it was Nets' point guard Devin Harris who was the star of the night. Harris scored a career-high 38 points on A.I to help the Nets rally from a 14-point hole in a 103-96 win.
Now Billups and his Nuggets were facing Dallas,Chauncey Billups made a return to the Nuggets with 15 points, Anthony scored 28 and Denver beat the Dallas Mavericks 108-105 on Friday night.Billups also had three assists and three steals, including two down the stretch.
MVP RACE
Well this is something new im going to start doind i my blog its mvp races its just the top 5 players mvp canidates so lets start this off
5.Joe Johnson-The most underated player in the league right now he led the Atlanta Hawks lasy year to game seven with Boston.Just look at his numbers PPG 28.5; RPG 3.7; APG 5.7; SPG 0.67; FT% .889
4.Tony Parker-He is leading the league in scoring but i can promise he isnt going to be here next time a post a blog entry cause he yesterday he got injured and will be out atleast 2 weeks.Numbers PPG 33.3; RPG -3.8; APG 7.3; SPG 0.5; BPG 0.0; FG% .564; FT% .889 (55 pts 10 assists)
3.Amare Stoudemire-696!" thats pretty much seventy percent must be a nice feeling for the Suns to know that when STAT gets the ball, it goes in the hole. He's why the Suns have started 3-1 and, right now, as about as unstoppable a player in the league.Numbers
25.8; RPG 9.8; APG 2.6; SPG 1.4; BPG 1.0; FG% .696; FT% .846
2.Chris Paul-Paul is entering that rarefied air of point guards shooting 50 percent or better. Oscar Robertson did it three times, Steve Nash has done it the last five seasons, Magic Johnson hit 50 percent of his shots or better for nine of his first 10 seasons and Isiah Thomas never did it. Paul is now over 50 percent from the field at .508. Amazing for a guy his size.
1.Kobe Bryant-A tenuous hold on No. 1. He's still here for a couple reasons: Lakers are 4-0 and he's the incumbent. Yes, being The Man who is MVP has its privileges. But as I said, tenuous. Kobe's field goal percentage is an ugly .446 and the competition this week -- Houston, at Dallas, at New Orleans, Detroit -- gets tougher.Numbers
24.8; RPG 6.3; APG 3.5; SPG 1.75; BPG 0.5; FG% .446; FT% .816
