Meep. A word which here means meep. Why, were you looking for some deeper meaning there?
The Arm
The strange transformation began as nothing more than a bit of dry, cracked, and terribly itching skin: An annoyance to the person transforming, who began to itch it and then lotion it to no end. The terrible itchiness refused to abdicate its new territory, however, and thus, decided it would call on reinforcements. It soon became a rash, red and inflamed that took control of the entire arm, like a Roman battalion conquering the whole of Europe. The person whose arm it occupied decided that she, too, would have to request supplements to her own fighting forces.
A prescription cream then took up arms after the Doctor had supplied it, and fought with zeal against the now rude smelling brigade of skin ailment, but the rash had no intention of giving up its right to the girl’s right arm.
And so, the battle persisted. What started out as a very itchy right arm moved on to grow something akin to claws, and later gained the ugly countenance of a thing that bore the striking and grotesque resemblance to a Pterodactyl, who had had its scales torn out one by one, its corneas viciously peeled off to bear the blood filled, jelly-like stuff underneath, and then been mercilessly dunked into some type of low-grade acid to form a bumpy, phalange-bearing fleshy mass that now barely resembled the girl’s dominant arm at all. It then seemed to have healed miraculously, gaining back its signature skin-toned visage, or else nastily painted a peachy-pink flesh color to hide its vigorous scarring.
That was the end of the strange and unexpected alteration of a girl’s right-arm. Nothing else changed on her after that, save the ruthless onslaught of the years ahead, and a premature graying of her black hair. This last symptom of anything strange, however, might possibly be attributed to the immense stress of the sudden and queer growth of her arm, which had, by metamorphosis’ end, elongated to touch the ground. From bulky shoulder to severely pointed and eye-dabbled fingertip, it was a mass of ugly. Nothing gratifying can be said for the thing without employing the use of a lie.
And so it was that the bespectacled girl now had a monster of an arm which slightly resembled a red-eyed, bumpy, flesh-toned Pterodactyl, with a very slimy grip.
