fun mishmash of actors playing actors playing military in poorly shot Vietnam War setting while encountering the REAL gurellia squad in jungle and have to fight for real to get out alive? Sound good, eh?
NOPE. Or well.. close.
It more of good than bad and great, it just meh average action movie with poor humors and plot development. Sure, there are few funny stuffs in it and on paper, the premise might be original, but the reality is that it is dumb fun movie.
Grade: B-
Hancock
A superhero who is an a*****e despite all of heroic actions he made, only to wreck and screw up something in the process and get huge backlash from the public.
Watching the movie, I really enjoy it, but it suffered a big problem of trying to teach a simple moral lesson about the main character. Is he suppose to act good? To forgive his close person he love? Must he be alone or be with other to satisfy himself? The movie falter on trying to tell many different stories and plot twists within, even if the premise is awesomely original and the plot totally went into unexpected terriority that go even beyond the concept of superhero.
Grade: between B+ and A-
