Meet Maya, a kickass superhero. With her frosty staff, she can turn you into a fluff (example in point: the fluff on her head was once her arch enemy). The halo around her head represents that she's good. The bell, when rung, can instantly drive one's head nuts, as the sound is quite annoying and obnixious. Maya, however, has gotten used to it.
During a bad mix-up with an enemy, she got fox ears and a tail, and her best friend got turned into a angel imp. The fox around her ankle is a symbol that you can trust her...if she's on your side.
...Yeah, yeah, I know, I need Magical Girl.
