It's just really sad. I know, I know. People move on and up and whatever. That doesn't mean you can forget the people who were there for you the whole way.
It is, indeed, sad when you are nice to people. They used to be nice but now... eh, they tolerate you but don't deal with you unless they have to. Oh well. So much for that.
