Click on Frank to start the conversation.

Frank: Hey there!

Frank: Come on over here. Let's talk for a sec.

Frank: Thanks. My name is Frank. Can you believe what's been going on?

Buai: You mean the Animated?

Frank: Yeah. I mean...who'd have thought? Inanimate objects...plungers, dolls, lawn ornaments...coming to life and attacking us like this?

Buai: No kidding! I'm on my way to Barton Town now to get behind their walls. We can't do *anything* to those Animated out there. All our weapons just bounce off them!

Frank: I know. They seem to hate us, attacking on sight. Well, most of them anyway. Some seem dumber than others.

Buai: I hope someone can figure out a way to fight back against them.

Frank: Someone has!

Buai: Really? Tell me!

Frank: GCorp came to rescue! Labtechs showed up with handfuls of these strange, powerful rings to use against the Animated. Just in the nick of time!

Buai: Rings? As in hoops you wear on your fingers? How would that help?

Frank: The rings draw their power from the same source that gives mobility to the Animated, and because of that, we can focus that power *against* the Animated. It works when normal weapons just bounce! We can take them out this way!

Buai: Awesome! A way to strike back! You don't happen to have a spare one of those rings around, do you?

Frank: As a matter of fact, I do! Here...put this on!

You found a new Solar Rays ring!

Frank: Looks great on you! That's a Solar Rays ring. You can point it at a target and then focus solar energy through the ring at your target in a coherent beam of light!

Buai: Whoa, cool! I'm a superhero!

Frank: Heh. Well, not yet. First you need to figure out how to focus your ring. Try thinking about attacking that trash can over there. Your ring will do the rest.

Buai: Cool. That was easy!

Frank: You've got the focus going now! So you can probably feel the energy ready to pour out of the ring. Just let it go...like opening your hand and releasing the wind.

Buai: Okay...but that's not usually where I keep my 'wind'.

Buai: Rubbin' out the rubbish!

Frank: Fantastic! So that was the *basic* way to use your ring. But as you fight, you build up a kind of Rage you can focus through the ring with that other energy. It adds a ton of power to the ring's effect.

Buai: Sounds handy. How do I do that?

Frank: Well...instead of just releasing the energy, hold it in and let it build for a while, kind of like back-pressure in a garden hose if you kink it. Then, after it builds, let it go all at once and BAM! You'll see.

Buai: Cool. I'll try that!

You didn't do enough damage in one blow. Click and HOLD until the Rage Meter charges more next time.

Frank: You're a natural! Well, it looks like the train is coming to a stop at the Barton Town platform now. I'm going to head to the back of the train and grab a few things. Good luck to you, friend.

Buai: Thanks, Frank. Have ring, will travel, eh?

Frank: More like, 'Not have ring, get whacked.'

Buai: Hmmmm...I liked mine better.

The train is still slowing...

The doors unlock as the train slides to a stop.

The train platform is kind of dim...

You're being attacked! Use your ring to defend yourself!

Ahhh! Another one!

You defeated the weird plunger-things. Now, if you could just find a light switch...

Barry: Hey there! Is everything okay over here?

* I was getting savaged by these moving plumber's helpers!
* It was just a couple of plungers. They're gone now.

Barry: Oh, no!. The Animated? In here? They'd been staying away before! We need to tell the guards before they derail a train or something!

Buai: Calm down. It was just a couple of plungers. Who are you?

Barry: I'm Conductor Barry. I'm in charge of this Train Station!

Buai: All of this, eh? Congratulations! Good for you! I'll just be heading up the escalator now.

Barry: Oh, you can't go up that way anymore. They've sealed off the doors at the top of the escalator.

Buai: What? Then how do I get out?

Barry: Well, you go through the Sewers. But there are Animated in there.

Buai: How many?

Barry: A lot in other places, but only a few near here. But I'm guessing you don't have one of those new rings, do you?

Buai: I sure do! That guy Frank on the train gave me a ring...hey wait a sec...where's Frank? He never got off the train!

Barry: There's no one else on the train but you, friend. It says so right here on my clipboard. You're the only passenger.

Buai: But...!

Barry: Anyway, since you've used a ring before, maybe you've noticed how tired you got after using it?

Buai: But...bu...what abou...well, okay...

Buai: ...now that you mention it...I did feel a bit winded.

Barry: That's no surprise. Using those rings is *mostly* about funneling the energy through the ring, but it does take effort on your part to keep the energy in control as it passes through you.

Barry: I'm going to help you out a bit though. First...when you're tired, you should take a breather and kneel down for a bit. It'll make you feel a lot better.

Buai: Thanks, Barry. That's a good tip.

Barry: You bet. There's one more thing. The Town Council lets me pass out these Superchargers. They're useful things you can use when you're hurt or winded too badly. It's like a shot in the arm to get moving again.

You found a new Power-up!

Buai: Hey...thanks a lot!

Barry: It's not a problem, Buai. Since everything's gotten so screwy, we just want everyone to be as prepared as possible.

Buai: I hear ya.

Barry: So...I have a few things to finish here at the Station. You'll have to head on into the Sewers and climb one of the ladders there to get up to Town.

Buai: Sewers? Up a ladder? Are you kidding?

Barry: Nope. But listen, Dani's a Barton Regular guard and she's just through that door and around the corner. Talk to her and she'll steer you where you need to go next.

Buai: So, go through that door over there and find a guard named, Dani?

Barry: That's right! And stay sharp. This area of the Sewers is fairly tame, but anything can happen.

Buai: Will do. Thanks again, Barry!

PT3
Dani: Hi there! Did you come down from the train station?

Buai: Yup. Barry said the station is closed. I have to climb up a ladder to get to Barton Town?

Dani: That's right. Crazy isn't it?

Buai: Well, I guess it's not too bad. Is that the ladder I climb to get out of here over there?

Dani: It sure is...

Buai: Great! I'll see you later then!

Dani: ...only I've got some bad news.

Buai: Oh no! What now?

Dani: The manhole covers have security locks to keep critters from getting out of the Sewers. I had my passcard sitting right over there...but now I can't find it anywhere!

Buai: What? You mean we're trapped down here?

Dani: It's embarrassing, but yes. Unless we can find that card, we'll have to wait until the shift change gets here.

Buai: And how long will that be?

Dani: Six or seven hours. But listen...I might know what happened to it.

Buai: What happened?

Dani: I heard this crazy muttering and mumbling, but by the time I noticed what I was hearing and looked up, there was nothing there. Whatever made that noise had stolen my passcard!

Buai: Hmmm...any idea which direction they headed?

Dani: Well...it's hard to be sure, but I think maybe the sounds headed east from here. I just didn't want to leave my post!

Buai: Look...I really don't want to stay here for six more hours. How about I got take a look?

Dani: That'd be fantastic! Thank you!

Buai: It's no problem. I want to get out of these Sewers.

Dani: I know how you feel. Oh, do I know how you feel.

PT4
The door slams shut, locking behind you.

The Mumbler: Trzzblrrgz

The Mumbler: Renerit

The Mumbler: Trzzblrrgz

The Mumbler: Renerit

The Mumbler: Mrrmmgb brgrzt

You defeated the Mumbler. But you still haven't found Dani's passcard...

...maybe in the chest?

You find the passcard in the chest!

As well as a slew of other stuff!

You found a new Pot Lid ring!

Dani: Did you find the passcard?

Buai: I sure did! And that mumbling gramster shouldn't be bothering you anymore either.

Dani: That's fantastic, Buai! I'm so glad you found it! I expect you'll be wanting to leave then?

Buai: I am SO ready to leave, thanks!

Dani: That's fine, that's fine. But let me give you one last piece of advice. Go talk to Elizabeth once you get up to Barton Town. She's the guard with the most experience with those rings and the things you need to do to make them more powerful. It's worth your time.

Buai: Okay, Dani. Thanks! I'll do that!

Dani: Good! Well...here's the card. Just drop it back down to me after you swipe it through the security scanner so I can get out later. Thanks!

You climb up the long ladder and emerge into the sunshine.
