BAM BANG BOOM! "OW, DARNIT CHARLES!" The front door slammed open.
...I got out of car car sloooo-wly.
"MAY! YA FINALLY MADE IT!" My grandmother cackled, stumbling down the steps and over to me, crushing me in a bone-crushing hug.
I tried to breath.
I'm pretty sure I was turning blue.
The door opened again and, this time, my sister came out. "HEYA, MAY! GEE! I THINK YOU'RE KILLING MAY!"
"OH NO!" My grandmother ferevantly let go of me, and started shaking me by my shoulders. "You OK, hun? Ya OK?"
"...Yeah...I'm fine..."
For the first time since I had gotten to my crazy house, I looked at my sister.
My jaw dropped.
She was wearing the SAME CLOTHES AS ME! The little copier!
She just grinned at me. "Great minds think alike, huh?"
"...Yeah...sure, Amy..."
Then, to make it all worse, out came my mom.
...Oh my GOD! She looked better then I did! And she was wearing that top grandma was, and the goggles-
"What's up with the goggles?" I asked stupidly. Amy giggled and pulled out her own pair and situated them on her head.
"You know, how, every year, we have a...uh...thing?"
Oh, I could see where this was going. Dangnabit!
...I totally did not just think that. Uh crap.
"Well, the goggles are that 'thing' this year!" Amy flashed me her biggest smile, grinning from ear to ear.
"Uh...great..."
My mom, re-emerging from the house, tossed me a pair of red goggles and beckoned me in. "Ma, show 'er in!" My mother, Corinne, shouted at grandma-Josie.
"AIIGHT, CORINNE!" Josie yelled for the whole neighborhood to hear, and arubtly pushed me up the stairs and into the house.
Dead silence.
I stared.
"WHAT IS THAT DANG COW DOING IN MY SEAT???"
