"Let's see. How about eggs?" Kelly asked. I wasn't paying attention. My attention was in the center of the store. There were people setting up as stage. Must be a Thanksgiving convention.
"Jesse?" Kelly slapped the side of my head to get my attention.
"Ow. What?" I asked rubbing my head.
"Do we need eggs?" She asked again.
"Yeah. Sure. Whatd you hit me with?" She held up her purse.
"You hit my with a purse? That's child abuse." I said.
"You're not a child." She assured me. I looked down at the buggy examining what we had and then the lights started to dim. A spotlight shot towardthe stage as a man walked over to the microphone.
"Please excuse the lights dimming. We are throwing a little show for a special someone in the store." He said in a girlish voice. That's great. He's gay. Then he looked in my direction and winked at me.
"Ew!" I shouted. Kelly hit my arm.
"Don't be rude." She whispered. The man walked to the back of the stage and Sydney walked to the mic as her band got in position. I guess they were her band.
"She's stalking me." I crossed my arms and sat on the bottom of the buggy.
"Hey. I'm Sydney Matthews. I'm just gonna sing a few songs and I hope you like them." She nodded at the band and they started their concert. I groaned and my body hit the floor. Kelly sighed and lightly kicked my stomach. I didn't move.
"It sounds beautiful." Kelly said softly.
"Whatever." I sighed
"Hm. Now get up before I spit on you." She smiled.
"You wouldn't do that." I grimaced. She built up the spit and I quickly got up.
"Ewwie!" I mocked the gay guy. Kelly laughed and hit my shoulder. I smiled and got in the buggy.
"You're such a baby." She giggled.
"No. I'm just lazy." I corrected. She pulled next to the snacks and I put some cookies in the buggy.
"Oh, no you don't." She put them back. You're on a diet."
"But I'm not fat."
"So? you eat too much sugar." She said. I sighed and settled back in the buggy. We finished shopping and went to the check out line.
"I would like to return this boy." Kelly said. The clerk was a teenage girl with red & black hair hanging down to her shoulders. She was wearing a hot pink shirt with black pants.
"You mean the one going through his period?" She asked as she looked at my pants. The steak spilt blood in the wrong place. She walked around and examined me.
"I don't see a price tag on him." She smiled. She handed me a piece of paper while Kelly wrote the check.

I looked at her name tag and saw Lily written on it. I looked at her eyes and she winked at me again. She must have winking problems.
"Hey! Kelly!" She turned around and saw a man standing at a counter.
"Hey, Bill." She said and turned to me. Go ahead to the car. I'll be there soon." She handed me the keys and walked over to Bill. Lily grabbed the buggy and we walked to the car. We finished putting the bags into the trunk and I turned to her and smiled.
"So you're the vampire boy?" She asked twirling her hair.
"That would be me." I leaned against the car.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" She asked.
"Um. No." I replied.
"Do you want one?"She bit her lower lip.
"Do you have an application filled out?" I teased. She giggled and leaned against the car too.
"Not really."
"Well you have the spot then." I smiled.
"Wow. Can I call you tonight?" She asked as Kelly ran toward us.
"Feel free." I winked as she walked back in the store.
"Let's go." Kelly said and got in the car.
