So yesterday in creative writing we had to write a poem describing something without saying what the object is and we could only use adjectives, nouns, adverbs, and verbs. It took me a minute to get started and when I was done I read over it and it seemed like crap, but It was all I could do. Then we had to read it outloud. This is what I had.
Chill, oh chill, oh deadly chill,
Screams errupting, no one heard,
Rushing water, drowning water,
Kill me softly.
Grasp me, throw me, plaster me down,
Give me shelter,
Give me blood,
All is all, I am me.
Dead, cold, solid, bound,
All emotion left unfound.
My object was a pebble. The whole 'Give me blood part' was about when they would stone people. So yeah. I didn't like it. But when I looked up from my paper, Mrs. E**n was staring at me wide eyed. "Thats beautiful," she whispered. My face turned red, then I realized everyone was looking at me, which didn't help.
