His mother cheated on his father when he was eight. His mom got pregnet with the man's child, and his father left her, dragging Rei along with him.
Rei mostly grew up without a mother that way, but he had at least one thing that he kept from his mother, his love of fencing. Rei has moved away from his family now, and he's off on his own, and teaching at the school. He's a fencing teacher.

He's older by a few years because his body entered that of a young boy, when he was greving for his mother. Rei managed to supress his memories inside of the boy, but managed to change his personality.

She is always in a fighting mood when it comes to Raptor. They've been enemies for as long as she's been on earth. She is falsely sweet, and doesn't know that Kiet is Raptor, though she finds him as a place to get rid of her anger by fighting him in his class.
