I'm introducing two new characters into my never-ending cast of my imagination! They are set back in post-French Revolution and during Napoleon's Reign.
Meet Jules and Jean!
16-year old Juliete Parvuso Bonaparte doesn't remember her father, but hears a lot about him from the people of Paris. Her Austrian mother is no help, because she's a princess and has her own things to attend to. Juliete, in search to meet her father, she runs off and joins the French Army. She cross dresses to get in because girls, obviously, aren't allowed in the army yet. Like a french twist on Mulan, Juliete chops off her hair and creates a fake birth certificate under the name Jules Deuso Bonaparte.
In the army, Jules is admired for her name (She has a golder "B" for "Bonaparte" stitched on the breast of her army jacket.) and skills with the sword. But, even with all her unwanted admirers, she only has one friend who treated her like an equal. Jean-Paul Marat II, rebelious son of the Liberal writer stabbed in his bathtub, joined the army after his father's gerousome death. He's alway's been a bit of a Libbie, thanks to daddy, of course, but just like everyone else he cannot tell Jules secret. Jules is the only one who can match him in skill, and he can only beat her at logic puzzles. Jean likes chess, sparring, and being his Liberal, smart-alek, rebel self.
