As i sit on the roof, waiting for Him to come, i got lost in to thought. What happens if he dosen't come? Or worse, what happens if he's going to break up with me? Is that why he told me to come here, the schools roof? Oh my god, i think thats the reason
I jumped when i heard footsteps coming closer. My heart beating faster and my head started to hurt. Oh my god.. he's coming!!! I should hide or run.... Suddenly a hand came out of now where, landing on my shoulder. I made a strange noise and literally jumped two feet in the air, landing on my feet facing him.
" Rose, are you alright? It looks like your hiding from 'The Thing' " Erik, the most hottest boy in Hopemeadow's school said, his adorable laugh came up.
I couldn't help but smile, hearing his laugh.
"No... i was just thinking.." My voice sounded weak and out of place.
"Of course, Rose the thinker.... typical.... you think too much." He smiles, but then got serious "So... i wanted to ask you something..."
Oh my god... here it comes.. hold the tears.. hold them... I looked at him, my hands shaking. He looks at me and sat down, hanging his feet over the edge. He turns his head towards the setting sun.
"The sunset looks nice..." He said, forgetting what he was going to tell me.
I looked from him to the sunset, watching the colors swirl into each other. The pink looked really nice, swirling with the orange.
''S-so, what are you going to tell me?" I asked, still holding the tears. My voice almost cracked, but he wasn't paying enough attention to notice. I tried to stop the shaking , but it just kept getting worse.
Finally, Erik looks at me, his face serious once more. He took my shaking hands into his and looked into my eyes. I needed to ask you something...." he pauses, looking at our hands.
I took one of my hands from his and puts one finger under his chin, lifting it up to look back into his eyes. My voice softens, " What is it? You know you can tell me".
Erik sighs and brings my free hand back into his. "I was wondering, with school almost over, and graduation coming, I..." He pauses, and now his hands starts to shake, he starts again. "After graduation, I don't think we'll be seeing each other anymore. And i really, really like you."
I look at him, my face becoming puzzled. " I really like you too Erik. So what is it you really wanted to say? I know there's something else." i looked at him, still confused but with a hint of amusement in my eyes.
He looks at me, his face turning bright red. "Well... I was wondering... if y.."
Boom!!
The door leading to the floor of the school flew opened and hit the wall with an ear-splitting sound. Erik and I jumped to our feet, facing the intruder.
"Get off the school's roof you little a** wholes!!!! "
