"She would dance across the sky like the entire sky was her stage. He would rather be watching."
I
"Kylee," he took a step, which she mirrored backwards. "Kylee, we're-"
"No," she stopped him, looking at him, then Rafael, then Alayna, Stevie, then back at him. "Just... no. The crew and I are sick of this."
"Kylee," he repeated, "please. You know what I meant by that! None of us meant it that way, please just tell the others we're sorry! Make them understand!"
She looked down. "No." She looked up again, and glared at him for the first time since the tour began. "No. It's you guys who still don't understand. You think you do, but you guys were the ones born with golden spoons in your hands. To the audience, that's who you are: SARR, the gold. You guys are rich, you can have anything you want.
But from backstage, to this small town, you guys are nothing. Absolutely NOTHING."
---------------------
The band known as SARR is an internationally known thing. They're cocky, snobby, and most of all, needy: Alayna needs someone to talk to her every darn minute. Romair would rather be alone, and flip everyone/thing off. Rafael is just a player, and needs a new girl every other day. Stevie calls himself, "The Voice of God," and wants everyone to think of him as so.
But when the band goes on tour, the thought of being stuck with each other for a year is replusive. They demand company with them on the bus. Thus, they get stuck with their backstage crew -the company's way of being cheap, and just having their own crewmen, while keeping their stars, "happy."
The crew hated them, as did SARR. But SARR decided to use them for entertainment, often doing obnoxious things on purpose to annoy them. And for 11 months, the crew endured constant humiliation, ear-rape, and arguments with the stars. That is, until the final show in the crew members' hometown came up.
The warmth, the laughter, the pain, and goodness of each crew member's heart was exposed, leaving SARR drowned in the happiness and tear-jerking moments they never had.
