As Ryu and Kyo ran they both heard screams and yells,which them go faster to see what was happening
By the time that they reached Masumi and the others,Tatsuya ran over to Kyo hugging her legs not wanted to let go
"What happened?"Kyo looked down at him as she placed her hand on his head,softly rubbing it
Tatsuya looked down,hiding his face more as tears escaped his eyes and ran down his face"H-He.."
Masumi walked over to Kyo with a sad expression"They..they came.."She looked away feeling tears come to her eyes
"Who came?What are talking about?"Kyo blinked at them as she looked over at Satoshi
Satoshi sighed softly as he walked over to her"Tozawa..and his men..and Narashi.."
Kyo stepped back from Tatsuya as he gave Satoshi a stern look"What do you mean Narashi,what did they do!?"
She looked past him,seeing Makoto on the ground and hearing her cry.Kyo slowly walked over to her,seeing her by a strange figure on the ground
When she got close enough to see what Makoto was crying over she ran over to her,stopping as she looked down,seeing Narashi laying down on the ground in his wolf form and covered in blood
Kyo took a step closer to her,her legs gave out and she fell to her knees"Na-Narashi.."She wanted to rub his head but wasn't sure on whether she should
Narashi slowly opened his eyes,looking up at Kyo as he gave her a smirk"T-There..you are.."He smiled slightly as he continued to bleed,the blood soaking into Kyo's clothes
"I'm sorry!"Kyo held her hand down,clenching her eyes tight as her hands started to shake
He slowly crawled over to her,resting his head on her legs once he reached her"I..only did what you..would have.."
Kyo smiled weakly as she let him rest his head"Thank you,for protecting them.I owe you one"
Narashi slowly nodded his head as he closed his eyes,taking a deep breathe before he did
Kyo sighed in relief as she looked back at them"I'm sorry I left..and that I wasn't here..to help"
Satoshi walked over to her,smiling"Stop with all this apologizing,we should go and find that Tozawa guy and kick his butt"
She gave him a cheerful smile then looked back down at Narashi"Well,you heard him Narashi.We should get going"
"Was he really hurt worse then I thought..?" Kyo placed her hand on his head,stroking his fur down to his neck,but stopped
Kyo gave Narashi a light nugde with her hand"Hey,wake up"She did it a few more times,then stopped staring down at him as her hands shook slightly
"Na-Narashi..wake up.This isn't the time to be sleeping"Kyo's voice sounded shakey as she spoke,the others knew something wasn't right
She shook her head as if trying to forget something"No..this..can't be.."Kyo hugged Narashi's body close to her as tears came to her eyes
Kyo's heart started to race as she hugged him tighter"Narashi!!!"She hid her face in his fur not caring whether or not she got blood on her,crying as she held him
It had been the first time Kyo had cried since back in her childhood,but she couldn't help it the tears just wouldn't stop
Ryu walked over to her"Kyo.."He took a short sigh as he held his head down"Its alright.."
Narashi's head slowly slid off of her legs,leaving behind a trail of blood
Kyo stood up,her back still towards them"No!Its not alright!"She looked down,crying as she yelled angrily at the ground
"You don't understand..we made a promise"She clenched her hand in a fist as she turned to face them"From the moment we knew it exsisted we promised each other that we destroy it and never let anything happen to us.."
The tears continued to run down her face,as if she had been holding in all her emotions for an eternity and they were being released
"But now..theres no point in that promise!"Kyo stared at the ground,still yelling at it because she didn't want to yell at the others for her mistake
"Without him..without Narashi..I-I don't see the point in anything!"She clenched her fist tighter,as she wiped her tears away,but they wouldn't stop"Its all my fault..!"
Masumi looked at Kyo,the same with the others,holding their heads down as she continued to cry
This was the first time that Masumi had ever seen Kyo cry,yet alone see her sad like this,spilling out her emotions.Kyo was never the type to tell anyone what she was feeling if she was sad,she always kept her emotions locked up,thinking that if she ever let them escaped she would become weak,and the people around her would worry.Especially Narashi
Kyo turned away from them as she looked down at Narashi,dropping to her knees as she looked at him.The blood splashed over her as she fell,but she didn't care
She hugged his head,laying her head on his neck"Narashi..please don't leave me..I-I still need you!"
Kyo closed her eyes tight,still hugging him as her tears ran down her face and onto his fur "I'm sorry Narashi..when it came down to it I couldn't even protect the person that meant most to me.."
She placed her hand on his head,stroking his fur softly as she tried to hold back her tears."You promised..you said you would never leave me..that we would always be together..and that..we would remain together until the end of time..thats what we promised!"
Kyo kept her eyes closed,as more tears ran down her face she had stopped trying to force them back knowing it wasn't doing any good
She stayed like that,hugging him still crying as she held him close to her,not wanting to let go of him,wanted to stay like that..wanting to have died with him.
