Ramblings and Such
Right now, I'm just using this as a means to write stories and submit them. It might change, but I doubt it.
The substitute teacher for biology was even worse than the real biology professor.

REEEEEEEEEKK… “Oof!”

Jeremy held his stomach where Kassandra had lightly punched it.

“*That hurt*”

“Well,” Kassandra whispered curtly, “You shouldn’t squeak the palm of your hand on the window like that.”

“But it’s so pretty outside it’s killing me and I really don’t care to know about the Krebs cycle and mitochondria.”

She turned and glared at him, her eyes just a tad more red than usual. Slightly unnerved, he slumped in his chair and pulled out his hacky sac from his pocket. He squeezed the sack of beads in his hand, relishing the chance to get outside and kick it around on the soft green grass.

Then a coy idea struck his brain, which traveled down to his mouth manifesting itself in an equally coy smile. “Hey Kass, gimme Karma.”

“What? No. He’s napping.” She stopped taking notes and put her free hand into the front pocket of her hoodie where the creature was safely asleep. She looked nervously from the teacher to Jeremy, hoping he would let the issue slide, but deep down, knew he wouldn’t.

“Please Kassandra, the weather outside is just killing me.”

“Imagine that,” she said coolly, “the weather outside is killing a ghost.”

“Are you mocking me?”

“Yes.”

He glared at her and looked back at the teacher who was still writing notes on the board. He was glad that the classroom was full and that the substitute was partially blind. After some careful thought, he decided to entice her with a different tactic.

He grabbed her left hand, which made her drop her pencil and slapped it rather loudly against his chest. “My love, my darling.” He said playfully, “I just know that I know you better than you know yourself. I just know that you secretly want to be outside almost as much as you want me.”

Kassandra’s voice took sarcastic tone, which was a hopeful sign for Jeremy. “Oh yes, your pink vest is just too sexy for me to resist.” She then sighed and looked back at the substitute teacher. “Well, there’s only fifteen minutes left in the class anyway…”

“Exactly!” he exclaimed, “Don’t you think that forty-five minutes in the classroom is enough to get the idea that animal cells and plant cells are different?”

She rolled her eyes and said, “All right, make it fast though, I don’t want to get into trouble.” Begrudgingly, she slipped her hand out of the pocket and he slipped his hand in. He tickled her stomach and she writhed and smacked his shoulder. “Don’t do that!”

He snorted, “Sorry, I just couldn’t resist.”

“You’re a little bit too happy right now, maybe I shouldn’t let you have Karma.”

“Too late.” He said as he pulled out the little creature. It’s eyes sockets were wincing at the light from the window and it yawned like a small baby might have except that it had pointed teeth. It unfurled it’s tail and smiled up at Jeremy. Karma whipped his tail around waiting for his surrogate father to play a game.

Jeremy looked up at the teacher and looked back at Kassandra. “Ready?”

Checking to make sure that the substitute was looking down at her book, Kassandra quietly stuffed her pencil and notebook into her backpack and slung a strap over her shoulder.

“Ready.”

“One… two… THREE!”

Jeremy thrust a gleeful Karma across the classroom and he hit her square in the face holding on with his teeth to her glasses. The substitute screamed and her hands shook as she flung around trying to figure out what was going on. Jeremy had a hold of Kassandra’s hand as they jetted out of the classroom. Kassandra whipped around and grabbed Karma quickly by the tail before they ran out of the door.

Kassandra and Jeremy could hear the laughter from the classroom as they ran down the hall. Marcus looked back up at the substitute who had been resigned to a nervous wreck and whispered to himself, “They left me again…”
