Well to start off with, i'm an atheist and I don't believe in any religion. honestly I can't understand how anyone can believe in one when they know about. This is partly the problem, PEOPLE DON"T KNOW ABOUT THEIR BLOODY RELIGION!!! most people say they believe in something without knowing a thing about it. For example, most christians i've met don't know basic stories, morals, or characters from the bible. Same goes for every form of religious followers that i've met. So why do they believe in them in the first place? Because of culture, familly, desperation for hope, and excuses for justifications. Most people only believe in religions because their parents or families make them follow their belief system like themselves. Though the basic cause for any religion is because people want to be rewarded for their good deeds and have anyone who does something wrong to be punished, even to the point of eternal life after death or reincarnatation so their 'souls' are always in an eternal never ending loop until they reach Nervana. From the start all religions were used to describe and explain the natural world. This is what SCIENCE is for and is effective where religions offer supernatural divine explanations for. If there's thunder it's because of the varying temperature and humidity in the air, though in ancient times people didn't know this so they said that it was because an all powerful being was angry and casting fire from the skies. Now with science and math things are explained properly, to me there is no longer any need for religion, yet people will still choose to believe in something and religions are already there so they shall continue to graple onto them. It is all so foolish in my mind and I know that most people who read this will want to leave me hatemail hehe. May atheism ursurp the religions!
