Name: Aya Minako
Alias: N/A

Personality: hard working, spiritual, kind, sensitive, creative, a little naive, outspoken, sympathetic, cynical, ambitious
Occupation: College student, works part-time at a bakery
Extra: Aya's parents passed away in a car accident, long before she was at an age old enough to clearly remember their faces. She was sent bouncing back and forth from one foster home to another. It was at age ten that Aya was taken permanently in by a local Catholic church. It was through that kind of religious exposure that she became 'aware', so to speak, and turned over to Catholicism. Aya left the church's care at seventeen, and transferred over to public school before graduating and moving onward to college. To help better support herself, Aya works at a bakery part-time. Rather than living in the dorms, she lives in her own apartment. It would only be a mere year later that Aya met Rakuen for the first time after he had saved her from a demon gang. From there, he persistently followed her home, much to her chagrin (she didn't believe he was a good guy). Unable to make him leave her home, Aya and Rakuen are now roommates. She awaits the day Rakuen is able to revert back to his original form and finally leave her be. However, Aya finds unfamiliar feelings reveal themselves the longer she is around him.

Alias: Somehow ended up being called 'Monkfish' by everyone thanks to Aya. Also is called 'butt pirate' by Kanbei XD

Species: Archangel cursed with a high-level demon appearance
Personality: laid-back, grumpy, tough, blunt, compassionate at times, perverted, insensitive, sarcastic, competitive, cocky, teasing
Extra:Rakuen is an Archangel who-despite his covetous position-was on his way to being demoted due to his recent, brutish behavior. The reasons as to why he made a change in disposition are stil unknown. One day when Rakuen was battling against a equally strong Demon, a spell was cast on him. The demon was notorious for her trickery; she changed Rakuen's appearance and powers. Although still a pure Angel at heart, he was a demon on the outside. Rakuen was not the only one changed - the demon was changing just about every Angel she crossed paths with in order to create confusion and mutiny. She was successful on Rakuen's part, for he was chased off by his fellow angels when they caught sight of him. It rendered Rakuen bound to dwell within the layers on Earth until he could find that demon that damned him, defeat her once and for all, and change himself back. It was that faithful night when he caught sight of not only a large bevy of demons, but also the defenseless victim they were about to devour (or worse). Upon rescuing Ms.Aya, Rakuen figured it would be a nice idea to stay with her. After all, she needed to repay him for his help somehow...

Name: Franz Lupercal
Alias: Lupe, Franzworth, and Midwife, by Kanbei (he loves to nickname people lol)
Gender: Male
Age: 108 (Appearance of 21)
Species: Archangel cursed with a high-level demon appearance
Personality: blunt, flirtatious, insightful, mediator, mature, calm, indifferent, charismatic when he wants to be, lazy, womanizer
Extra: A fellow archangel who ironically, got himself into the same predicament as Rakuen. Although talented, Franz is awfully lazy (Sloth's a sin, Franz, you moron), having said the reason he got changed was that the demon (barely) seduced him. Unlike Rakuen, he's not as eager to revert. Rather, he's indifferent either way as long as he can still /function/ as a protagonist. Also, he...doesn't mind the gothic clothing. (Cough) Still, compared to Rakuen, Franz has good behavior. He's just always been naturally lazy. Franz loves him the ladies, though at time he'll be even too lazy to take care of the girl he's dating at the time. Later on, he finds interest in Maria. Franz drops by Aya's place, or the bakery, every now and then but usually he's a lurker of the background. He loves to snack on japanese treats (pocky, bubble tea, pretz, etc...)

Name: Kanbei Junta
Alias: Kani, Kan-kun, twerp, callous child (last two by Rakuen only)
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Species: Human
Personality: brutally honest, picky, snide, intelligent, brilliant, quiet but outspoken if needed, stoic
Extra: Kanbei is Aya's 'little brother'. They met in the church they were both occupying the time. Kanbei's parents lost custody of their son due to the fact that they were both drug addicts and child abusers.
When he first arrived at the church doors, he was eight, and Aya was twelve. They quickly took to each other, becoming close friends before declaring their unofficial sibling ship. A year later, Kanbei caught the interest of a kind couple, and they ended up choosing him. Kanbei was recluctant at first to leave his older sister, but given an encouraging push by Aya he soon enough found a permanent home. Even though they were separated, Kanbei still managed to write to her as often as he could while adapting to his new life. They reunited once Aya left the church, and Kanbei's parents actually were the ones to fund Aya when the means to begin life on her own as an adult. It is quite obvious how much Kanbei loves (romantically!) Aya, as definitely seen when he got very jealous over Rakuen's arrival.

Name: Maria (pronounced MARRY-ah) Belle
Alias:Mari, Mary, Marybelle
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Species: Human
Personality: romantic, shameless yet prideful at the same time, suggestive, air-headed, responsible, hospitable
Extra: Maria is Aya's fellow co-worker at the bakery, and Yamatai's granddaughter. Like her ancestor, Maria is also somewhat of a pervert who 'preys' on the younger, fairer opposite sex. (That's correct - Maria has a shota complex.) Though very attractive, Maria is still not married because she refuses to settle for someone her age or older. (She wants to seem young through her sig. other, supposably...) At one point, she tried to seduce Rakuen despite Aya's animosity towards her doing so. She ends up caring a lot for Franz. Maria is half Japanese, half American.

Name: Yamati Shingen
Alias: Yama, Old Geezer, Leching Grandpapa
Gender: Male
Age: Who knows..? He's pretty darn old!
Species: Human
Personality: wise, silly, perverted, open, deceitful, fickle, casual, also...shameless
Extra: Yamati is the owner of the Doki Doki Bakery, and Maria's grandfather. He is short, skinny, and rather pruny. As aforementioned, Yamati is a lecher like his relative (in fact, maybe that's where she got it from?). Yamati has a love for young girls, especially high school girls in those 'cute and revealing uniforms'. He used to lust for Aya up until she beat him silly with a frying pan one day due to his advances. Although perverted and sometimes downright repulsive, Yamati is a good man at heart whom was more than willing to let Aya work at his bakery when there was no 'help wanted' signs up. Then again, it may just be his testosterone making decisions for him again...

Name: Darion
Alias: Dare
Gender: Female
Age: 241
Species: Seraphim
Personality: tough, prudent, temperamental, reserved, sympathetic, a**l, easily embarrassed, shy, secretly a hopeless romantic
Extra: A member of the Angellus Inspective branch. In other words, she is a detective for Heaven, concerning any suspicious matters. Her current case is on the Demon, and the mysterious vanishings of certain angels, and taking their place, the demons that show. She runs into Franz and Rakuen in the midst of her investigation, and duels with them. Only when Darion had been defeated by the two, had she complied to lend a ear to their plea. Having been convinced, she set down her weapon and decided to do whatever she could to help. Darion was the one who sent out the alert to any nearby angels, informing them of Rakuen's and Franz's current condition. She made only a brief appearance, leaving soon after to update the other detective on what she had learned. Later though, Darion comes back seeking their help to find Near, her lover.

Alias: The Archaeologist, Nearsight
Gender: Male
Age: 258
Species: Seraphim
Personality: friendly, not easily irritated (at all), casual, adventurous, very light-hearted, inquisitive, thoughtful, oblivious
Extra: Like Darion, Near works for the Angellus Inspective. For someone usually calm and mild-mannered, Near is a man who craves adventure and new experiences, and gets distracted by such motives that he has been gone and back many times. Not only does he leave behind his fellow members and his duties, but he leaves behind Darion as well. She is often upset at him, calling Near a 'irresponsible responsible man'. Although he leaves, Near always promises to return on the date he gives Darion and his fellow detectives. Near is shorter than Darion, with her being six foot and him five foot, eight. Some even say he's actually the female of the relationship. Darion and Near have known each other for a very long amount of time-and above all-have a incredible friendship. Darion finally decides to go after and search for him when he's away for longer than usual.
