First Day of Work
Wake up this morning,
This might get boring.
Do the chores then wait,
For this is the date.
Nervous feelings,
Anxious and fear it brings.
For it's almost the hour.
Hurry! Quick, take a shower.
Now we're on the drive,
For it is almost five.
Two more minutes to go,
Please! Don't drive slow.
Yay, we're here!
Now, I've gotta get into gear.
But my paycheck is gonna get hurt,
Cause I put on the wrong shirt.
