I saw a quarter
roleing down the street

I followed it closely
wondering where it may lead

It turned a corner
then slipped down a drain

I heard it clash, rattle and bang
it slipped threw the edge and appeard again

Silently i followed
letting it lead me again

I kept at it, watching it sincerly
want to catch it
and hold it dearly

It's shine was bright
it lured me close

I reached for it once
but it fell near my toes

It rolled and it swirved
i utterd not a word

I followed it quietly'
quickly and happily

A quarter is a quarter
a bird a bird

A cat can mew
and what ever a giraffe say's is just absured

But when i followed that coin
of silver and nickle

I was just to gitty with joy
i couldn't help but let out a giggle

People, they watched me
following my every move

Quietly i stalked it
keeping up at every turn

It took me down town
i followed to the bridge

I squzeed threw an ally way
and behind a car wiz

I trailed it continously
where ever it may lead

This quarter i wanted
i needed
i'd plead

Forever chaseing
never ending the follow

Till one day it fell over
flat and swallowed

A stinky little pigeon had taken my game
robbed me of my will
and stolen my sane

This stinky little pigeon with a belly full of gold
my quarter umong all that the rest was old

I sat there and thought
what had i been chaseing all this time

Was it a quarter i wanted
or mearly another rhym to my line

Authors note: ok, so ya...it's been a while since i've writen anything sweatdrop and i was acctually trying to help my boyfriend with his homework when i some how got...side tracked and ended up with this o_o it's kinda nice and i hope you like it :3 COMMENTS!!!!
