Officially, I'm known as... Jesse Anne Lowell [[Don't ever call her 'Jess' or anything of that sort. Jesse is what she'll reply to.]]
But they also call me... Aurora
I've been fighting for so long... Twenty-one
I'm a mutant, but also a... Female
This sets me apart from the rest... An aura-reader. Jesse can detect the energy that emit from all living creatures. Being an aura reader, Jesse can detect any living thing within a 5 mile radius of her present location, even with her eyes closed. Having this power, she can also detect whether a person has good or bad intentions (including when someone is possessed), and even what people are feeling, but she is still having problems controlling those particular aspects of her powers.
My allegiance lies with... The Xavier Institute
A deeper look into the mirror... Jesse is about 5'6" in height. Her hair is about medium length, reaching just past her shoulders and is a very dark brown, that is often mistaken for black. Her eyes are also an unusually dark shade of brown and when looking at them, usually reveals her emotions. Jesse is skinny, but not to the point of underweight and is quite curvaceous.
Get beneath my skin... Jesse has always been naturally shy and quiet. She keeps to herself most of the time, and tends to absolutely silent in front of new people. Though quiet with new people, Jesse is fun and outgoing with her close peers and friends. Always trying o make others laugh and is the first one to comfort someone who is down. Most people thinking she is quite unusually in the way that she is a very silent creature, yet is really brave. Though she does most things with caution and planning, she never backs down from a fight or runs away when an evil mutant attacks.
Of course, you have to pry... Ever since she could remember, Jesse has always been in the Xavier Institute of Gifted Youngster. The only parental figure she has had was Professor Charles Xavier himself. From what he had told her, her parents had known from the beginning that she was a mutant and gave her away to the Institute.
Growing up in the Insitute had never really been much fun for Jesse. She had always resented the other students who had loving parents who accepted them. She also was a late bloomer with her powers. She watched silently as the other went to classes and learned while she had yet to have hers. Then, on Jesse's eleventh birthday, she felt the presence of of a rampaging mutant coming near the school. After the X-Men had taken care of the mutant, she was dubbed as an Aura-Reader, and began her classes.
When Jesse was seventeen, she went and searched for her parents with the help of her friends. Confronting them had always seemed like a fearful thing for Jesse, but she knew she had to do it. After locating her parents' whereabouts, she went to see them. They were shocked at first, not knowing who she was. Then, when they realized who she was, they promptly tried to kick her out. Before that got the chance, her sister, who she just then figured out she had, appeared before them, looking oddly at Jesse. Everyone went quiet, then Jesse left, feeling worse than ever. Ever since that day, Jesse has had a strong dislike for her parents, and wishes to prove them wrong- that mutants aren't bad.
I love whom I love... Heterosexual
I also forgot to mention... Jesse has a passionately love of music. She is a musical genius, playing five different instruments. Having the powers that she has is really overwhelming for her. She gets many migraines and has to have Advil on her constantly. Despite being older than student age, Jesse still takes private lessons to gain more control of her powers and to harness her full abilities. She also takes online college classes, majoring in biology.
The soundtrack of my life... Disturbia by Rihanna
