I don't care who reads this, and I don't care who laughs, but I have to say this in some way, shape, or form. My great grandma is turning 95 next weekend, yet she still managed to come to church with us. She has always been independent and strong-willed, so seeing her raise her trembling hand to ask for communion in the pew shocked me. Then I noticed how she was having so much trouble getting into the van. When she asked my Mom and Grandma if she could just use her cane instead of her wheelchair to get into the restaurant, and Grandpa had the gall to CHUCKLE, I nearly lost it. I told him that she was almost 100 years old, and that he had no right to find anything in this situation remotely funny. to see her like that, and know that she was losing control over her own body is extremely frightening. I'm terrified of losing her, and the possibility that she won't be with us next Easter is very real.
