*chapter one the morning news*
"Mail." shouted the mail lady as the rang the bell to melony house and left the mail on the porch. Melony opened the door to the sweet small of the rosmarry she planted in several pots on her porch. She gazed at the crystal clear blue sky before picking up her mail and returning to her home.
It was very hot and humid today. And sence she had air conditioning, she didn't want to go out for anything more than enjoying the scenery.
She didn't want to leave her project alone either. On the dining room table were piles of papers that a normal person wouldn't understand. Those papers were full of graphs, notes, and charts that would be used for a robot of some sort. A non human looking one too, at that.
Normally is surprised people how a sweet just out of colledge girl would work on something like this. As usually the design often socked people. But this never bothered her at all.
She ploped the mail on the table and grabed a remote to turn on a small t.v. balanced on a stool at tables height.
To her dissappointment, the news she had been waiting to hear was finished. So instead she started working more on the graphs and charts on the table. for hours that it seemed. She didn't stop for a break, to eat, or even enjoy the outside. The only thing that was going on in the house besides her working was the ticking of her clock. aking a usual clocks clanking sound every half a second as if seeing how long it could go before it annoyed her so much that she would break it.
Finally she stoped after she found her hands considerable sore. She grabed the mail and lightly shufled through it. there, she found the letters she had been looking for that was what she had missed on the news. A law had passed stating that anyone cold build a robot. Their could only be one per house hold. And you have to have been able to get into a college specified in building robots and passed four years.
The robot also must be required not to harm humans physically. It mussant act on it's own. And must obay all programing. Any nounfunction or it acting on it's own and the state could. legally, tare it down.
At this, Melony wondered whether it would be a good idea to fight the law to let her robot act on it's own. However, she was gong to do everything in her power to change it.
With that new burst of excitement, Melony returned to her graphs, trying to prepare this robot as quick as possible Until she finally worked herself to sleep.
Yes it's finally finished! Sadely, it's not that long. But im sure as i get more into my writting, the chapters will slowly become longer. sorry it's not the greatest writting but i hope you like it! comment with any questions you might have ok! biggrin
