i reached for you
but you pushed me away
as i went falling
into my own heart's decay
pounding and screaming
to be set free
to escape this place
caged in misery
drowning in heartache
plunged into my own fears
thus where you left me
crying rivers of tears
i reached for your love
but it turned its back
slowly bringing my heart
to an unsealable crack
reality has stricken me
with a mighty blow
making me realize how
life could be so cold
trapped within a box
my memories are shaken
but keep in mind
vengeance has not yet awaken
