Lavi fell back asleep soon. Novella stayed up a little longer thinking. She fell asleep after a while. Lavi layed his arm across her stomach. Novella thought it amusing. She let his arm lay there. She put her legs closer to her chest.
"STRIKE!" Yelled a voice. Novella jerked out of her sleep. It was almost dawn. She saw that Lavi yelled it. She rolled her eyes and fell back asleep. "Novella." Something whispered in her voice. It almost sounded seductive.
Novella slowly opened her eyes. She found herself being held by Lavi. They were already up against the bedpost. Her head was leaning on his broad shoulder. His lips were just at her ear. She blushed deeply.
She lifted her head up. "..I have a feeling you're going to tell me something today." She said.
Lavi chuckled. "Well...yes." He said removing his arm from her waist. Novella blushed a little deeper. She hadn't noticed his arm. She began to feel something different for him...something she felt she'd figure out later.
Lavi looked at the girl. He looked...happy. With a real smile. Novella ran her hands through her tangled hair. She sat up a little more. She looked at him while he stared ahead. He had one vivid green eye a tuff of his red hair by it.
Novella got up. "I wanted to go to the village today." "That's right." He said getting up himself. Novella found her jacket and put it on. Lavi watched from the corner of his eye as he put his jacket on.
She zipped the jacket up and found the ponytail holder. She pulled her hair into a low ponytail. A few strands came lose and hung.
(A few hours later)
Lavi and Novella walked along the dirt path that lead to her charred house. The rest of the village had been distroyed bodies everywhere. Novella had started to silently cry. Her home, her family, her friends, people that she didn't even know...Lavi was sad that he had no words of comfort for the poor girl. The only thing he could do was hold her as she cried.
Novella found a few undamaged things. A small sliver locket that she had remembered getting for her last birthday. Her mothers engagement ring. She put both on. She stood back up and looked at the village she had loved. It was burned and ruined. All the walls and shops were ashes now. She turned to Lavi and sobbed into his chest. Lavi held the girl while she cried. He hugged her.
Novella after a while had stopped. Lavi wiped away her tears. Novella hugged him. Lavi seeing she could hardly walk from the shock of seeing this, picked her up in one swift move and carried her to the station.
Novella made no ojections to him carrying her. She curled up in his arms.
Lavi was sad and angry at the same time. He hated seeing her like this.
He got the tickets and they said it would be another two hours before the train came in. Lavi sighed and set Novella down on one of the chairs. He sat down next to her and wrapped his arm around her. She had stopped crying but was still recovering.
Novella leaned on Lavi. Her green eyes blurred with tears again. Lavi hugged her tighter. "It's alright Novella." He whispered in her ear.
Novella stopped crying all together soon enough. She had hardened a little but otherwise okay.
Once she had fully recovered the train came up. Lavi and Novella got on the train.
