The Durem GazetteWednesday, 6 May 2009Mr Adam Mitchell Bernard Bond V, Esquire,
D. Phil.,
Oxon. (92) and his wife, Mrs Elizabeth Olivia Blackmore-Bond (83) were killed yesterday in a mysterious and, as yet, unexplained shooting. Mr Bond was a wealthy landowner, investment banker, executor of a three billion unit trust fund, and the president of
Gem Merchants of Durem. He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford and received his Doctorate of Philosophy in English Letters. Born into an already established Aristocratic family, Mr Bond left England in 1972 to move to Gaia and the prospective and growing city of Durem. He quickly established himself in Durem investing in local ventures which later turned a pretty profit. His chief investments were in manufacture until 1982 when he led a merger to outsource production of several companies to neighboring Aekea. He sold his interests in 1990 and embarked on a unique project, the corporatisation of Gemstone sales. The result is the multi-billion dollar joint-stock company,
Gem Merchants of Durem. By 2000 he had increased his capital ten fold and it only slowed during the recession of 2001. He retired many of his active duties in 2002 at the unbelievable age of eighty-five, though he still directly handled the assets of Blakemore-Bond Trust Fund, with the assistance of his son, Mr Adam Mitchell Bernard Bond VI, Esquire.
Mrs Blakemore-Bond is of the Blakemore's of Barchester, English nobility. Her brother is the infamous Lord Baron Gilbert Blakemore whose notorious financial support of the Von Helsons was a personal affront to his sister, Elizabeth Olivia, good friends with Rosalie Von Helson, wife of John Gambino. Mrs Blakemore-Bond was known for her extensive involvement in the charity circuit and was responsible for the building of the
Durem Orphanage and establishing a twelve million unit trust for its annual maintenance. She was also renowned for her spring garden parties which boasted seventy to eighty highly desirable invitations chosen for Durem's wealthiest elite.
The Bonds are survived by one son, Adam Mitchell Bernard Bond VI, Esquire. (See headline story, "

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, 10 May 2009 at ten o'clock at Trinity Episcopal Church in Durem.
