Last month, unbeknownst to me, Timothy Lehmann released a lovely book called Manga: Masters of the Art. It's basically the same thing as Salsbury's Writers/Artists on Comic Book Scriptwriting/Art books, but with the focus on manga creators.
The creators covered inlcude Kia Asamiya, CLAMP, Takehiko Inoue, Erica Sakurazawa , Jiro Taniguchi, Yuko Tsuno, Tatsuya Egawa, Suehiro Maruo, Reiko Okano, Mafuyu Hiroki, Miou Takaya, and Usamaru Furuya.
