The rest of Chapter 8....... TWISTED FATE.

“YOU WHAAATTTT???!!!!!” Foncé was being pushed into the wall by Carolinia’s wheel chair; the metal foot rests were cutting into his shins.

“I thought you liked him!”
“That’s the problem! I do like him and I do want to go on a date with him!”
“How is that a problem!? Now you have a date!” She pushed further into his shins. “I’m almost bald and I look like crap!” She grabbed the red satin ribbon around her neck. “You don’t look bad, Carolinia. Besides, you can’t leave the hospital, so you’ll just be eating lunch in the cafeteria.” She paused in stabbing his shins with the foot rests… “……………THAT JUST MAKES IT WORSE!!!!! A DATE- HEREEE!!!??? IT’S LAME!!!! GRAaaaa! You and your looser a**!” She pushed even harder than before. It felt like his legs would be cut in half at any minute.

“Caroline, if you don’t quit ramming my patients into the wall, they’ll all end up in the west wing.” Dr. Paris had walked up behind her. He had his hair neatly parted to the side. He wore black slacks and a white dress shirt with a black tie. “I know… It’s the surgery area!”
“Raven…” Dr. Paris laughed. She gave Foncé a frightened look, slowly moving her head down until she realized that his pants were a little torn from the metal. Dr. Paris pushed Carolinia down the hall in her chair to where ever he had in mind.

Foncé walked to the elevator; not hesitating whether he should see Sah-mule or not.
He stepped out on floor six and headed for room 608. As he was about to knock on the door, he heard talking. “You should marry Jenny.” It sounded like Sah-mule and his mother. “Mom, Jenny is a girl…” It sounded like Sah-mule; answering in his usual bored tone. “Right, you’re not like normal boys. Marry Ashton then!”
“I have someone else in mind, if it works. And ew, no.”
“YOU WILL NOT MARRY THAT FRENCH FRY!” She screamed.
Foncé bit his lip. ‘Why does she hate me so much? Have I ever even spoken to her?’ He turned to walk away and come back later. ‘No, if nothing is said, then nothing is done.’ Foncé turned on his heal and walked back to the door and knocked. Sah-mule and his mother stopped arguing. “Come in.” Sah-mule called. Foncé walked into the room. “Hello, miss… Sah-mule’s mother.” He waved and smiled as kindly as possible. How awkward it was for her not to be yelling things at him. She wouldn’t really look at him either. “I’ll let you two talk for a little. Bye… friend of Sah-mule’s.” She walked out.

Foncé smirked as soon as she closed the door. “Why do you look like you’ve done something bad?”
‘I did?’ “I didn’t do anything ‘bad’. Just helped a friend get a date with Dr. Paris.” Foncé sat in the chair next Sah-mule’s bed. “That manga girl?”
Sah-mule sat up in his bed. The sheets fell to his lap revealing the scar from the knife. Sah-mule looked so pale and weak. He seemed ‘gaunt’ compared to how Foncé remembered him.
His body was just a built and strong looking, but more slim. He looked at the green stitches over the cut. If Foncé didn’t know better, he would say that it wasn’t that bad of a cut. It was only about one and a half inches long, but any where from being two to seven inches deep. “Does it still hurt?” For some reason, Foncé had the urge to lightly touch it. Kind of childish, but he wanted to fell what Sah-mule felt. “It hurts, but I don’t mind it. If pain is the price to pay to live, them I’m okay with it.” Sah-mule chuckled. “What?” Foncé felt it was kind of random for him to be laughing. “Nothing really just, now we match sort of.”
‘What the hell is he talking about?’ Foncé thought. “What’ matching?” Foncé knew it couldn’t be matching shirts sense it was obvious Sah-mule wasn’t wearing one… nothing had changed about either of them really. “I have a scar like you do.” Sah-mule reached over and brushed Foncé’s white hair away from his face, covering the scar. “I noticed it that night I stayed at your house; you keep it hidden well.” Each hair slowly slipped through
Sah-mule’s fingers; allowing each strand fall back into place. “I never noticed how blue your eyes were… They almost look hazel with that little bit of gray bursting around the pupil… You’re like a rose; beautiful, but painful if you touch one of it’s thorns.” Sah-mule brushed his hand over Foncé’s cheek. He leaned in and hugged Sah-mule. “I’d call you a suck up, if I didn’t know better.” Foncé laid his head on Sah-mule’s firm chest. He heard Sah-mule’s slow, soft, and steady heart beat. He kissed Foncé forehead. “Remember me telling you about that prom date of mine being asked out? The same morning you were?” Foncé instantly remembered it. “Well, you were the date. I wanted to ask you, but I didn’t because I knew we wouldn’t be on the same page- as in, you being gay. So, I hesitated to ask.” Sah-mule smiled noticing Foncé didn’t have any intentions of spazzing out. Foncé was to busy thinking about how things would had changed if Sah-mule would had asked… he might still be alone and scared of Sah-mule.
“Yaoi!?” A walked boy walked in. He had long dark brown hair covering his back. His eyes were dark brow and his completion was medium. He wore a funny gray hat with an eye one it. Even stranger, it had two long points that swayed at his waist where two crosses dangled on the tips. The stranger held on to the brim of the hat. He wore a long gray, black, and white stripped sweater. “Sah-mule, you didn’t’ tell me you were seeing anybody.” Foncé jumped back into his chair “I’m not. This is Foncé, my friend. Ashton, Foncé.” He introduced them. Another boy walked in, doubled over in pain holding his stomach. “Ashton, what did you do to Jimmy?” Sah-mule scolded. “Nothing! Dumb a** pierced himself when he was bored, again.” Jimmy had spiked blonde hair with magenta and blue highlights at the front on his bangs. “I’m not a dumb a**! I wanted to do another whole on my ear, but my parents would notice!” He stood more straight, revealing his black shirt, tie and two silver necklaces. “This is Jimmy, our scene queen.” Jimmy flipped Sah-mule off. “and that’s his signature… now you know both of them. Amazingly, Ashton is straight, but he loves yaoi.”

Ashton walked over and shook Foncé’s hand. “That means you don’t have to worry about me liking you princess.” He smiled and winked. “Don’t make me start calling you Asston again.” Sah-mule took a sip of his water. Foncé felt kind of left out, but he figured it was for the best.

Jimmy lifted his shirt and poked at the piercing. “Dude, if you keep messing with it, you’re gonna end up here, next to Sah-mule.”
“Shut up… would that be a bad thing?” He pulled his shirt down. “So, what’s his name?” Jimmy looked at Foncé realizing that he hadn’t been introduced properly. “Foncé Br-”
“Don’t tell me your whole name, that’s so corny now and days.” Jimmy smirked. Foncé had to agree, not only was it out dated, but annoying to explain. “Foncé, are you gay?” Jimmy asked.
“You could pass for a f**.” Ashton added. Jimmy gave him a look. “What!? Now you have something against gays, Ashton?!”
“I slipped! Half of my friends are gay or bi- you know that!”
Jimmy held up his hand. “Don’t wanna hear it!” Ashton went and leaned on the wall; pulling out a black binder from behind his back. He began to quickly start writing with a pen that he took from under his hat.

Foncé tried to understand who Sah-mule’s friends were. Ashton was the straight one with the vitriolic sense of humor, like Sah-mule. Jimmy is also like Sah-mule; they’re both gay. Like Ashton has the same humor, but is the flirt. Sah-mule dressed Goth like Jimmy, but Sah-mule was really no poser of it.
Sah-mule shook his head. “Don’t worry, you get used to being around them.” Foncé smiled. “Quit being so quiet. I’m curious… how did you and Sah-mule meet? You two are more opposite than yin and yang.” Sah-mule looked away from Ashton. He did not appear bright, but when it came to reality- he was right. There was a knock on the door before it opened. “Foncé are you in here?”
Dr. Paris called. “Yes sir.” Foncé stood from his seat, meeting Carolinia at the door. “I had fun Carolinia, we’ll have to go again sometime.” Dr. Paris smiled and left the room. It was silent for a moment as Carolinia looked around the room. “Wow…. Four boys in one room… you gonna make me some yaoi!?” She smiled and rolled her chair over to Foncé. “This is Carolinia,- the manga girl, Sah-mule.” He nodded in response to what Foncé said. “Foncé told me about you… how’d your date go?” He smirked.

Carolinia’s head dropped. “mhesay…” She mumbled. Jimmy paused in his sneaky attempts to braid Ashton’s hair. “What?” Foncé asked, his head slightly tilted to the side. “He’s gay…”
Ashton started hysterically laughing. “You dated a gay guy!? You must had at least got some yaoi out of it… right?” Carolinia shook her head no. “He… wants to go on a date… with- you Foncé.? She hid her face in her hands. “Oh s**t dude!” Ashton fell in a chair next to Jimmy; his binder dropped on the floor. He frantically picked it up. “Oh dduuuuudddeeee!!!! You got a date with a *****!- wait… it’s better…. A GAY *****!!!!” Jimmy joined Ashton in his laughter. Sah-mule’s face turned a tomato red. “What the hell were you guys talking about?” Ashton managed to ask through his gasps for air and merriment. Foncé knew he was blushing at this point. “At first we were just talking and then he started talking about how we both know you. Then I asked him what was one of his personal things and I told him mine. Mine was writing pronz and Dr. Paris’ thing was that he was gay. At first I was ‘YAAAaaaaayyyy!!!!’ and then ‘Nooooo!’ at the same time. Then at the end, he asked me to ask you if you wanted to date him.”

The room was quiet except for Jimmy’s and Ashton still laughing. ‘Is every guy I meet going to be gay!? Or like something similar to yaoi!?’ Foncé screamed in his mind.

“Foncé? Are you mad?” Carolinia pulled on Foncé’s sleeve. She glanced at Sah-mule who looked just as shocked and red. “Just tell him you already have Sah-mule.” Carolinia realized that was easier said than done. “I’m sure he’ll understand Foncé… Dr. Paris is really nice.” Carolinia smiled hoping it would help.

Ashton stood from his chair and returned to leaning on the wall. “Wait, isn’t that illegal? Eighteen years of age and older, isn’t that the age you can’t date minors?” Something didn’t feel right after he said that.

Jimmy pulled a comb out of his pocket and started combing Ashton’s long brown hair. “I’ll talk to him. It’s not like he can do anything if I go.” Foncé clasped his hands together in his lap.
“Ouch! Jimmy, don’t you dare tease my hair! I am NOT walking out of here with some four foot afro!” Ashton elbowed Jimmy’s stomach; obviously hitting his new piercing. “Asston! I bent three needles trying to pierce that!”
“Nice Ash, now he’ll get an early infection.” Sah-mule smirked. “What’s that suppose to mean!? I’m clean!”
“Ahh! Asston aids!!!” Jimmy leaned back and pretended to die. Sah-mule and Foncé laughed. Jimmy and Ashton were kind of like kids, goofing off and picking on one another. “You both suck! Go play in Carolinia’s hair!” Jimmy walked over and started brushing her hair. “I love your hair, Carolinia! It’s soft, the perfect length… a much richer brown… never had blond highlights…” Jimmy glanced at Ashton who was glaring at him. “I like your hair Ashton, it’s pretty.” Carolinia smiled. “Thanks.. Eh, Carolinia..” Ashton looked down; his hair fell in front of his face. He decided to busy him self with jotting something down in his binder. “I wonder what Foncé would look like with long hair.” Carolina thought. He wondered too for a moment before Ashton disturbed his thought. “Like a girl. His face is too soft, like a girl’s already. I’m sorry dude, we can’t all look as hot and as manly as I do.” He playfully winked.

“Speaking of long hair,” Ashton turned his attention on Sah-mule. “Why don’t you wear your hair down anymore? And why ribbons?” Ash asked as he held the end of it between his thumb and index finger. “They’re satin. It’s not like they’re a girly pink or anything hideous.” Sah-mule touched the dark red ribbon that neatly held his hair in a low pony tail. “Satin huh?” Ashton’s fingers quickly clamped down on the ribbon and he ripped it out of Sah-mule’s black hair. His mid length hair hung a little past his shoulders. Each strand of hair looked like silk compared to the ribbon. Soft and fragile… tempting to touch. Foncé yearned to run his fingers through it; cherishing every moment as he sinfully touched it. That’s the second thing he really wanted to touch today! ‘I must be having a really childish day.’

“Alright Ash, you had your fun.” Jimmy walked over and started combing Sah-mule’s hair outward. “Tease it and I’ll kill you.” Jimmy crossed his arms and walked back to his seat. An announcement came on the intercom, “All visiting hours are over.” The intercom clicked off. “that’s our call. We’ll see ya at school I guess.” Ashton stood up; nearly knocking his binder off of his lap. “Why not tomorrow?” Sah-mule asked. “Uh, no thanks dude.. I hear your mother will be here. Tell me she still doesn’t want me to marry you.” Ashton tightened his lips together; holding back any comments. “Probably- she still thinks I’m an alcoholic.” Jimmy frowned, walking out and poking at his piercing again. Ashton rolled his eyes. “Later Sah-mule. Bye princess.” He waved and winked at Foncé and closed the door. All you could here was Ashton yelling at Jimmy, “Leave it - the- HELL- alone!” Their arguing faded.

“We better head out too, Foncé.” Carolinia rolled her chair to the door. “Nice meeting you Sah-mule! Force Foncé to make me some yaoi!” Sah-mule laughed as he reached out and grabbed Foncé around his waist. He pulled him closer. Foncé willingly allowed Sah-mule to hug him and gently kiss his forehead.

He released Foncé, so he could push Carolinia down the hall. They headed for the elevator. “You two would make a good couple. Ashton was right; you may be as different as sun and rain, but without one- the other can’t exist.” Carolinia looked up at Foncé who was deep in thought, considering what she said. “Thanks Carolinia…”
