I love the rain. It's amazing. It's the miracle of existence on Earth. I think it's kind of weird that when it gets rainy, normal people think it's depressing. And they hide inside their houses with their heaters and their dry cotton clothes.
I mean, it's so much more enjoyable to just walk out of the door with quick-soaking fast-drying clothes, and skip down the street through the rain to a park with your group of crazy nerdy friends. I mean, how much better is that than being at home alone wishing that it was sunny so you could have something to do?
Anyways, my crazy nerdy friends and I; we met up at this park, and it was AWESOME. To understand this you need to know that our parks are not accustomed to much rain, and this we we'd had hard rain every single day for about a week. This storm was the biggest - or at least the longest - of them all.
And the park was flooded.
It just so happened that we'd brought a camera and decided to take dramatic pictures of us standing around a bench right outside the football diamond, when the water was a mere half-an-inch below the top of the bench.
Yeah, it was wicked. And we decided that some of the pictures should be album covers for some wicked-awesome band.
Anyways, I think the reason that I love rain is because it's like the Greek idea of Catharsis; or release. The idea behind it is that we carry around all this emotional crap with us everywhere we go, and society has forced us to become so closed that we no longer admit that we even have it. But everyone has feelings. And when society forces you to bottle them up they just... build up more and more pressure until they simply EXPLODE.
And that's what I like about rain. Because it's like the sky is crying; it's leaking out all of the emotional... junk that it's carrying around. And I think it encourages us to do the same. Because it's like is says, "It's okay. Junk is junky. You can only carry it around so long."
So, yeah. I think that we all need to go skipping and singing in the rain at some point in our lives.

My journal is just all of my really random thoughts. If you don't understand it, it's ok, because I don't expect that many people will.

Mercy is something you can eat; again, and again, as the juice spills over your chin. You can wipe it away with the back of your hand. And you can never get enough.
