Alright, so I'm here on GaiaOnline, finally. I've been tinkering around a bit, but I'm still learning the ropes here, so be patient if I seem a bit newb-ish.

Anyhow, I've been playing Prototype for a while now, and I decided to play Ghostbusters afterwards.

Here's my critique for both.

My Critique: GHOSTBUSTERS and PROTOTYPE

Well, let's put it this way: I hate Ghostbusters. I hated the movies. Hated the characters. Hated the games. What's to stop me from hating this game?

I spend most of my time running around with my PKE scanner, not even using my weapons at all, gathering readings, scanning ghosts, finding cursed artifacts... And if I do use my weapon, I ******** up and end up doing something retarded, like shooting myself.

My character is hard to control, in my opinion, I can't hardly ********' aim, I die more often than I live, I have yet to actually trap a ghost MYSELF, my team mates are screaming at me constantly, the readings I get don't help me at all, and I'm basically running around picking up things that don't look right. Oh, a haunted chair that won't stay in place! Big deal, I have to put up with a lot of haunted moving chairs in my house. You know why I'm not worried? Because I have them rigged to move whenever anybody tries to sit down.

Whereas in Prototype, I can scale buildings, disguise myself, I generally have more freedom and a less straight-forward path to follow, I can do little side missions, I can kill whoever I want, I can actually AIM, and I move a lot faster.

Regarding graphics: Also Prototype. Sorry, but I like the graphics more in that game.

Regarding camera angles: Prototype again. I like to know what the FRONT of my character looks like. If he turns with the camera, I don't know that, now do I?

Regarding in-game freedom: Once more, Prototype. In Ghostbusters, there's a path hammered out for you to follow. In Prototype, you can do whatever the ******** you want.

Regarding Battle System: Prototype by default. I never fought in Ghostbusters.

Regarding Health System: Okay, here it is: In Ghostbusters, I couldn't see any health bar. In Prototype, when I noticed I was low on health, I got the ******** out of there. Which do you think wins?

Regarding Activity Level: Prototype, FTW. In Ghostbusters, you HAVE to do what the mission requires. in Prototype, as I said, you can screw around all day, and the mission will be there waiting for you when you're ready.

So, in the end, Prototype drags me in, while Ghostbusters makes me puke. End of story. I'm not going to argue about it, that's my opinion, buh-bye.
