My Vision
I hereby announce the construction of a wall to enclose the 41.293,2kmĀ² of beautiful land which I call my own, running along 1,852 km of borderland.
I have been driven to this decision by personal issues not up for discussion.
As there seem to be wild speculations and idiotic notions going around concerning this endeavor, I see myself forced to clarify a few things.
This will not affect the way I conduct business.
I have after some consideration decided to take an artistic approach, hoping to create an exposition of sorts to cover the funds spent on the project.
Inspired by the Valley Curtain by Christo and Jeanne-Claude, here follow impressions of how the Schweizer Mauer is meant to be constructed.
This project is a good opportunity for me to demonstrate who I am and allow my people use it as a medium to express themselves. Each Canton with a border shall individually be responsible for their section of the wall.
I hope to use the media attention to turn the public eye towards my nation as a holiday-destination by presenting my historic and modern sides.
Despite the additional costs, I wish to incorporate museums, primarily themed around art and history. I believe this to be profitable in the long-run.
I realize one cannot simply pull a wall through biomes. I value the preservation of my natural environments greatly. I do believe however, that alternative solutions can be found.
I hope to have given an idea of the nature of this undertaking and shut some of you whiners up.
In the end, I am doing this for myself.
Should anyone have any problems with these plans, do tell me to my face.
That will be all.

Something like this Hundertwasser architecture, perhaps?
