As the lights of the living passed by.
Holding a pale creature in the palm of his hands.
With tears in its eyes.
Delicately he brushed it with love
And carefully sprinkled affection
Till its wings shone with a brilliance like no other
But only in his eyes
Born anew it flew away
And left that statue where it lie
Alone.
The statue couldn't help but smile.
Loving its lover despite the betrayal
Love means making them happy
even if they leave you behind.
