Derek walked along the side walk. The sun got in his eyes so he covered his face for a moment, but bumped into someone. "Whoops Im sorry...miss?" He covered his mouth, but couldn't help it. He burst out laughing. "Why are you wearing a skirt?!" He stared grinning at the person on the ground -which he knocked down there in the first place- and then grabbed his hand helping the guy up. He still giggled a little.

"Don't judge a book by its cover." Kai corrected him, although he wasn't sure if Derek had meant to mess it up or not. He looked down at the hand Derek was holding.
Derek saw Kai looking at their hands. He smiled and brought their hands to his mouth. He kissed Kai's hand and continued walking. "Kai are one of those houses yours?" he pointed at some houses he could see.
Kai's eyes traveled slowly to the houses. "Yeah." He replied when he saw his house.

He glanced at the drive way and saw his dad's car gone(parents are divorced) and kept walking up to the door. He let go of Derek's hand and looked up at him. "Do you want to come in?" He asked and unlocked the door.

"If it was I wouldn't have asked you to come in..." He said and looked around. There were papers on the ground near a desk. 'Someone was in a hurry...' he though and knelt down to pick them up.

Kai reached up and set them on the desk, then stood back up. "I take care of everything here." He said, happy for the comment. "My dad's an editor for a publishing company." He added and closed the laptop on the desk.
"Sounds like a well payed job." He smiled, "Are you usually home alone?"
Kai thought about it. "I wouldn't say usually. I am a lot though." He admitted and looked at Derek.
"Do you bring your boyfriends here while hes away?" he laughed a little, and moved closer to Kai.
