Laying itself over everything as we sleep.
The bodies wake to find the white world a new.
And shiver as they stumble into the streets.
In this time it's hard to find warmth.
And strangers keep other strangers bodies warm.
As cold fingertips run along the nape of our necks.
And frost covered arms wrap around your bodies.
Pressing its frozen chest to ours.
And showing us our discarded breaths.
I watched as petals of snow fell from the heavens.
Even ventured to taste their beings as they passed my lips.
I sat beside Fire for warmth,
and shivered.
