Unconditional Love
7.Judging, standards, and leading people to God

I tell you what, there isn't anything that drives me crazier than what people want you to be and act and look like. That's just how people get driven away. I mean sure, you have to be kind and be respectful about what you are and do, but people out there who think everyone should be just like them? Just doesn't help anything. People get so sucked into the world that they truly forget who they are. People sometimes mold each other a little too much. God loves us just by who we are. People worry about what others think too much, and it just bothers me. When I walk through the halls of my high school, you can look into some people's eyes, and they just look glazed, kind of dead and lifeless, but yet I can sense sadness in there. No, their eyes aren't glazed in a depressing way, they're glazed in a fake-person way, like a robot or something. I just want to tell them that it's okay, but if I do, they would just look at me funny, and be snobby. But they don't know what they're missing. I could be there for them, as a real friend. But judging is something that just bothers me. When these kids are sitting at the table with me in art class, they will start talking bad about someone, and I'll say "what gives you the right to judge? You don't know what that person is on the inside, and just because they're different from you doesn't mean you should make fun of them." I come to terms of believing that there's no such thing as weird or normal. What is normal? Nobody's the same.
Standards don't exist in my book. I love people no matter what. I know some don't believe in God, but when you have all of the qualities of unconditional love, it shows them a true Christian, and Jesus just shines through you, and they begin to love you, and when you learn their personality, and you learn the right words to confide in them, you can talk to them about God, but really, you can't force someone to believe, that just pushes them away. But you can show you believe through unconditional love, and they wake up on their own most of the time. See, a lot of my friends at school quit going to church or don't like church because of the judging. I know people are trying to help others lead a better life, but it just really pushes people away from God more than it brings them in. What we need to do is just show them unconditional love. Even if we don't like something about them, at least they're coming to hear the word of God, and we don't want to scare them away from that. The bible says how to live, but it also says not to judge people. I believe every church should just invite everyone in, no matter their background, what they've done, who they are, and how they are. The great thing is, is that they've come to God, and we should do everything to keep them there. People think that if someone sins, they need to tell them that it's wrong, but that doesn't quite work, it just pushes them away. What we need to do is let God deal with it, let him make the decision. Our job as humans is to find a way to lead people to God without judging, because judging just pushes away. Truthfully, we all have different places in life. My friend and I were talking about that one day, and she said that for every person, there's a different place in life. Different places in the bible apply to different people. Not every person is going to do the same thing. God may have a different plan for every different person. My place is to write this and help wake people up. Someone else's place in life may be to help save people, like a doctor, or help stop animal abuse. But it's all for one thing though; God. Don't get me wrong, I want everyone to believe in God, because it’s such an amazing thing and feeling to truly believe, but it's not meant to be that way, and it's impossible. All we can do is set the path for someone, and pray they follow it. If we judge them, then it just pushes them away. We have to know how though.

Once I’m really good friends with someone, and they know that I give unconditional love, and then I begin to talk to them, because they try to be the same way back for you. Now, when I meet someone new, the first things I usually tell them is that they can tell me anything, and I won't judge them, and that I'll always be there for them, no matter what. I also tell them that I love people unconditionally, and even if they went crazy and tried to kill me, I would still love them, I just wouldn't be able to be around or trust them. After that, they just really spill everything out and trust you, but you can not break that trust! It is the worst thing you could do! But anyways, they try to do the same for you back, and after they really like you, and you can talk to them, that's when you start talking about God some. No, not forcing it. Try to get them on the right subject to talk about it, like ask them if they have a religion or something, and they'll tell you. Don't judge them though. Just tell them; "I'm a Christian. I'm not the type that judges like a lot of them do, so don't worry." and then I basically tell them all of what I'm telling you, only in a shorter version. It really makes them think. Now whether they take it or not, it's their choice, but all we can do is show them the road, and pray they take it. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink sort of thing. And sometimes that horse may run away if you try to corner him. I let God judge. My place is to just lead people to him, and help Christians be better Christians, so they can help God too. I’ve noticed how certain events in my life has happened, just to set off another series of events, to prepare me for something or to prepare me to help someone, and then more events happen, and it’s just opened me up so widely, I just take everything in, absorb it like a sponge, so I do believe there’s a reason for the smallest to the biggest problems and changes in life. It’s always to benefit you.
