Sir Horatio's Locket Campaign - Petition
User Image

Welcome to Captain Pears & Captain Cochrane's Petition to enstate a new Evolving Item - a little thing we call 'Sir Horatio's Locket'.

It's purpose, you ask? Well, are you tired of having to piece together 19th Century Uniforms and having to explain away why your avatar is dressed like the French? Are you tired of watching movies like Master & Commander, Jane Austen Collections, Horatio Hornblower, Code Geass, Sharpes Saga, The Patriot & other Napoleanic/Revolutionary War films.. wishing to Mother Gaia that you could dress like your hero's & heroines from cinema? Well, now you can. Or at least you could if this petition is successful in it's mission.

That's right, folks. We request and require all of those who read this plee to Gaian Society to sign this petition in hopes that we - the People - the Gaian Populus - may have proper Uniforms and Empress (Regency) Styled Gowns. Not impressed thus far? Well, that's soon to be fixed. Now, I could keep talking about it, but I'd rather show you a few samples of what we'd like to see.

But to set the mood, allow us to tell you a story. A Story of Honor, Duty, Love & Heartbreak:

Quote:
"Along time ago, during a time of Revolution and Rebellion - when the Old World was changing into a New, a Brave English Naval Captain - Young Horatio - sailed his ship into the small harbor of Naples seeking shelter during a storm. Having made sure his lieutenant, his men and his ship were going to be alright, he went to visit the British Ambassador who lived in the City of Naples, Italy. When he got there, the Ambassador proved to be a nice old gentleman who loved his collectables more than anything else. Among his precious treasures was his crowning achievement - his Diamond in the Rough. Her name was Lady Emma.

Though Horatio & the Ambassador spoke of nothing but the War their country was fighting, Horatio's gaze was nowhere but on Emma. It was then and there that he fell madly in love with her. Soon he set sail again, to wage war and to fight the battle that would make him a Hero to his country. All in the name of Emma & England.

Victorious and missing his right arm - Horatio returned to Naples, where he was greeted by throngs of cheering, adoring people. Amongst them were the Ambassador and His Treasured Emma. Soon, Horatio was living with them while he recovered from his wounds and his ship was repaired. During this time spent in Naples, Emma and the Ambassador never left his side. They all laughed together, they all cried together and Emma & Horatio even made cheap jokes at the Ambassadors expense together. More so, the two of them fell in love together. During this time, the Ambassador grew old and sick. He knew about his Emma's love for Horatio, and so he gave them permission to love one another and to be together forever. Upon his death bed, the Ambassador wished them well as he parted from his time on Earth.

Now married, knighted & promoted Admiral, Horatio took Emma back to England where they bought a great big house, threw parties and even had a child together. During this time, England and France were at an uneasy peace. But soon, Napolean broke his promises and Horatio was called back to defend his country once more. Upon his leaving, he kissed Emma sweetly promising he'd return to her and their little girl, Horatia. As the boat shoved off towards Sir Horatio's ship HMS 'Victory', Emma and Little Horatia waved at him from the shore. As he waved goodbye, knowing that this would likely be the last time he'd ever see his family again, he looked at the small item that Emma had slipped into his pocket upon their final embrace - a Golden Locket. A Locket with Emma & Horatia's pictures in it. Little did he know that a week later, he'd be shot and left clasping at the locket for dear life while speaking his last words 'Captain Hardy, Tell Emma & My Daughter I Love Them.. Thank Goodness, I've Done My Duty..'

Now, without further adieu... the samples.

Still not convinced it's a worthy enough cause yet? Well, what if we told you that the Evolving Item could include some of these items?
