This gave Ashido the strenth to live and prosper soon when Aizen came along granting Ashido the power of a Arrancar hatching him into a Vasto Lorde arrancar.
Nagato aswell siphoned power from the hogokyu which altered the inner hollow inside him making a arrancr such like Ashido or Ichigo's inner hollow. Over the years standing by watching his younger brother excell into Aizen's army ranks as Espada #5 , this was short-lived as when he was sent out hour before the assault he was killed in battle by a Shinigami ally. Nagato then came forth pledging the promise to kill Aizen and his comrades before he could obtain the powers of a vizard.
Nagato's Zanpakuto: Shinsou Ankoku
Zanpakuto Ablities: Scream(Aloud/and Defy):Shoots a gray-likeblast at the target but at the moment it reac ittargetit swivels and forms a gray dome withen this dome in its first chant 'Scream' it summons 50 clear/silver blades that thrash around constantly striking the opponet though easly deflectable the blades tend to wear and tear the target down and the go in for the kill
If Nagato says 'Scream Aloud' the blades are multiplied to 100, and the same for if he says 'Scream and Defy' the blades are multiplied to 200
Soothe : Creates a shield the aries and consumes what ever attack that is coming at its conjurer(Nagato)Strong enough to nullify one of Ichigo Kurosaki's strongest black getsuga tenshou's and a Gran Rey Cero.
Salvage: This ability is a support abilty it allows Nagato to use is unique abilty to rconstruct/deconstrut te components of there stuctureonto the human body (or shinigami arrancar ect.). This allows him to save people otherwie couldn't be saved either from Illnesses or tragect wounds.
