T-Kun's 'fficial Instructions (Now With Ramble)
Basically, anything on my mind. Summaries of my day, rants, rambles, thoughts. I've always got something on my mind. Also, I am required by law to inform you that there are Zombies lurking. Have a nice day.
Nearly Mauled
Alright, here's the story. I've calmed down now, and I'm not so shaken up anymore, but...

I took the bus home from school today, and I got off at my stop and was walking the rest of the way home. It take maybe about 5-7 minutes or so from the bus stop to my house; there aren't any stops closer, and I had Zulen with me, so he weighed me down a bit.

So, I finally get up into my neighborhood. I'm almost home, would've been there in under a minute. I see a dog sleeping on someone's lawn, and I don't pay it any mind. Most everyone in the neighborhood with a big dog ties them to a tree or something in their front yard, and the dogs are always friendly. Most of them don't really pay you any mind.

So, right as I hit the driveway to the person's house, I hear this LOUD bark. No, not bark; more like snarl. And I freeze, thinking I'm about to get killed (I'm so the Worst-Case-Scenario kind of girl, ugh). And then I realize...it was the sleeping dog. But I guess he hadn't been sleeping. He had jumped up, barking, growling, snarling at me, with his teeth bared.

I just stood there, scared out of my mind, and managed to say "Well, s**t." Not "OH s**t!" or "OH ********!" Just "Well, s**t". Said all nice and casual, too.

ANYWAYS...

So the dog keeps up its intimidation routine. And naturally, I am intimidated. Or rather, completely terrified. But I manage to keep a clear head, despite my body being rooted to the spot. I look at the street, see that there are no cars coming, and shakily make my way across, walking up to nearly the end of the block before crossing back over.

Whenever there is potential death/injury involved, my body freezes up, but my mind always manages to think rationally. Thank the GODS.

The thing is, though, that it's not safe to have a dog like that outside in the first place. While it may have been on a leash, the leash was long enough that, had I walked another three feet or so, it could have freaking mauled me. It could reach the sidewalk had I tried to pass it there. And it OBVIOUSLY isn't friendly like the other dogs in the neighborhood.

For the record, no, I don't know what breed of dog it was. It wasn't HUGE, but it was on the big side, black fur with a white patch on the chest, but that's all I took in before I started staring directly at its teeth.

What? I was about ready to s**t myself. When someone is threatening you, you keep your eye on their weapon, right? So of course, it's the teeth for the dog.

Anyways, as I was saying, it just wasn't right for them to have that dog there. I'm not going to flip out at them because I still have all my limbs, but if I'm walking home tomorrow, and I see that thing again, I'm waiting until they move it into the house and then I'm going to complain to them. Because it just isn't SAFE.

Triforce-Kun, out.

*Shudder*
